The search to fill The Wolverine director's seat has been narrowed down- we've got the top picks Next.. Welcome to Clevver Movies, I'm Andrea Feczko. Ever since Darren Aronofsky left as director of "Wolverine", Fox has been searching for the right person to tackle the highly anticipated sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Now Fox has narrowed it down to eight, yes, eight directors. There's still a lot of competition. So, the top contenders are: Fast Five's Justin Lin, Bourne Identity's Doug Liman, Training Day's Antoine Fuqua, Pride & Glory's Gavin O'Connor, Girl, Interrupted's James Mangold, Jose Padilha, Mark Romanek, and commercials director Gary Shore. All the directors except Romanek and Shore have directed action movies so it really is anyone's game! Fox is reportedly in no rush to decide, even though Wolverine set to hit theaters next year. Who do you want to direct Wolverine? Let us know below and don't forget to subscribe for more movie news. See you soon!
Hugh Jackman Talks 'The Wolverine'

Hey guys, thanks for tuning back into clevver movies, im Tatiana carrier and Ive got the deets on mr hugh jackman and what he had to say about the wolverine! So some have argued that the past xman flicks have been way too heavy with way too many characters, and WAY Too many story lines crammed in a 2 hour flick, well Hugh Jackman promises that won't be the case with the next installment in the further adventures of Logan. While out promoting Real Steel this weekend, Hugh Jackman took some time out to address the impending stand alone adventure The Wolverine, and promises that it will solely focus on his character of Logan, and that he will be a leaner, meaner fighting machine. "The Wolverine will do the character justice and show his uncontrollable "rage". I think we've got the chance to nail the character this time, to do the hole-in-one. We haven't managed that yet. On the last movie, we complicated it with too many other characters. And there'll be more women this time, which is good. James Mangold will direct wolverine, and mark bomback is penning the draft for the script...and once Hugh Jackman is done dancing and prancing on the set of Les Miserables, he will star. The Wolverine is set to come to theatres in 2012. So what do you guys think? Are you going to take hughs word for it and go see the wolverine? Director James Mangold Talks 'The Wolverine'
http://bit.ly/clevvermovies - Click to Subscribe! http://Facebook.com/ClevverMovies - Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies - Follow Us! James Mangold Talks Wolverine! Hey there Wolverine fans, Im Tatiana carrier and Ive got the scoop on wolverine! Director James Mangold recently dished to indie wire about wolverine, and we have the details! Mangold told The Playlist that he thought that a sequel was the best place for him to be able to imprint his personality on the property...he said, "You could actually just tell a story about this amazing character from the start, just the way they do when you really read a comic....You don't have to spend the first hour saying how they were born; you can actually just find them in an emotional space, in the middle of action, and what happens is you're not crowded with cutting to nine other action heroes. You can really make a movie about this dude." He also discussed initial hesitation on "The Wolverine," .... specifically because of the attention director Darren Aronofsky attracted to it when he signed on to direct and then pulled out. He said, "I spoke to Darren a bit about it before I ended up taking it on...But I will tell you that when Darren stepped off, I was in the middle of doing a lot of other things, and when it was brought up to me, I actually didn't even consider it for the very reasons you're talking about. It was, oh, who wants to do that, and follow that, and I could hear all of the media swirl about it." He went on to say "Several months went by and I hadn't even really read it, and later when they came back to me and I kind of took it in, and a lot of that hand-wringing had kind of died down...What I saw was some really promising material, and to me an interesting character played by a great friend of mine who's a terrific actor, Hugh Jackman." Ultimately, however, Mangold gave the most scoop on the "The Wolverine" ....he said, the flick would focus on the ideas that are at the core of the character, even as he delivers a visceral, intense, and entertaining film. I think more than anything, it's a character piece, asking really interesting questions that are what pulled me in about what it means to be immortal. What is it to live forever, when you lose everyone you've ever loved? Either you watch them get killed, or you just lose them by attrition. What is it to feel the burden of saving mankind through all of its mistakes, over and over and over again. What's the toll it takes on you as a living being that is somehow living this Frankensteinian, eternal life? And there's a lot of interesting dramatic questions we're going to deliver on as well as some really inventive action." I personally cant wait for the wolverine to come out! But what about you guys?
