Hey guys, thanks for tuning back into clevver movies, Im Tatiana carrier and ive got the latest on Tower Heist Its looking like Universal and parent company Comcast are making director Brett Ratner's action-comedy available in homes three weeks after it opens in theaters. However, a few directors are not on board with this rare decision. In April, Brett Ratner joined James Cameron and 20 or so other directors in opposing a premium VOD test offering movies for $29.99 only 60 days after their theatrical release, saying it would erode the moviegoing experience. Tower Heist will be offered to Comcast digital subscribers for $59.99 only three weeks after the action comedy opens in theaters on Nov. 4. The test, designed to gauge consumer interest in such a service, will be conducted in Portland and Atlanta. A spokesperson for Ratner said the director was not involved in the decision--making process. The spokepersonal said, "Brett was made aware of Universal's PVOD experiment with Tower Heist yesterday. It is a test limited to Portland and Atlanta. Brett did not participate in the planning of this test." Tower heist is about a group of hard working guys find out they've fallen victim to a wealthy business man's scheme, so they conspire to rob his high-rise residence. stars Eddie Murphy, Ben Stiller Matthew broderick and Casey Affleck . But what do you guys think? Good idea to test this concept with Tower Heist or horrible idea? James Cameron Talks 'Fantastic Voyage'
http://bit.ly/clevvermovies - Click to Subscribe! http://Facebook.com/ClevverMovies - Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies - Follow Us! Hey guys, thanks for checking back with us at clever movies, im taitana carrier and Ive got the latest on Fantastic Voyage! James Cameron recently dished to deadline about Fantastic Voyage, and weve got the scoop! Cameron, who was busy with two sequels to Avatar among other projects, does not plan to direct but gave deadline the scoop on Shawn Levy who may helm the flick...he said, "I gave him my idea about how this should be turned into a love story and he's really run with it," Cameron says it's about two thirds of the way there in the development process. Much like Titanic the new Voyage has a real emotional core to it, basically dealing with a doctor going through troubled times in his marriage who finds himself injected into his gravely ill wife in order to save her life. Apparently, once he gets to the brain, things really heat up. Compared to the original, the possibilities of this re-imagination are quite intriguing. We are thinking with the massive advances in filmmaking technology in the 45 years since the original, Fantastic Voyage...the flick is truly ready for a reboot. So will you guys be seeing the reboot of fantastic voyage? Let us know by commenting below and keep it locked right here on clevver movies for all the latest movie news.
James Cameron Talks 'Titanic 3D'
http://bit.ly/clevvermovies - Click to Subscribe! http://Facebook.com/ClevverMovies - Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies - Follow Us! Hey guys, thanks for tuning back into clevver movies, im Tatiana carrier and Ive got the latest on the biggest baddest, titanic 3d! AS you guys already know, Titanic is coming back to our screens this April in a shiny, new 3D conversion. Now we don't know whos more excited about this reunion with Rose jack and co...movie goers or James Cameron! He recently showed 18 minutes of 3D-retooled footage, and then took the stage at 20th Century Fox's Zanuck screening room and had lots to say about the 1998 hit. He said, "We get to bring Titanic back to the big screen after having been gone for 15 years. There's a whole generation of people who have never seen the film in a movie theatre. I'm a strong believer in the theatrical experience in general, but specifically for this film. When people commit three hours plus a little bit of their lives to sit in a dark room and share this journey with these characters, they find that it's a very powerful, emotional experience and I have to think it's a lot more of an emotional experience than one would get watching it on video. 3D gives us an opportunity to re-invent the concept of a re-release. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't but the 3D seems to be a turbocharger, a conceptual hook that allows people to say it will be different." Well I just cant wait! But what about you guys, will you be catching up with titanic bigger and better than ever when it releases in 3d? let us know by commenting below and keep it locked right here on clevver movies for all the latest movie news!

Best Science Fiction Movies: Top 5 Tuesday

http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies - Follow Us!

Hey everyone thanks so much for tuning back into clevver movies, Im Tatiana Carrier with your top 5 Tuesday! With the release of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace 3D this Friday we countdown the top 5 sci/fi films of all time!
.
Coming in at 5. The Matrix---
The Matrix was just the kick in the pants the sci-fi genre needed. It combined sci-fi, action and introduced the groundbreaking bullet time effect. Though the technology ended up being overused in just about every commercial made since the film's release and two crap-tastic sequels followed, the film was the perfect swan song to the 20th century.
Aliens comes in 4th place---
Though many would probably select Ridley Scott's 'Alien' in the top 5, James Cameron's sequel 'Aliens' was simply, in our opinion, a more entertaining movie. Less horror and more action, the film pits Sigourney Weaver's Ripley against the mother of all aliens as she and a crew of Colonial Marines try to discover what happened to the colonists who have settled the planet where Ripley and the crew of the Nostromo first encountered the aliens.

3rd place goes to The Empire Strikes Back ---- Here's another sequel that trumps the original. Though Star Wars was a huge box office success when released in 1977 and has spawned countless sequels, tv shows, books and video games, The Empire Strikes back is just an all-around better movie. It's questionably one of the greatest sequels ever made. From the battle on Hoth to Luke's inevitable confrontation with Darth Vader, the film gives the original character's real depth and introduces new characters like Yoda, Lando Calrissian and Boba Fett. Plus, how many summer blockbusters these days let the bad guys win?

Coming in a close second, is 2001: A Space Odyssey---- Stanley Kubrick's '2001: A Space Odyssey' is not only considered one of the greatest sci-films of all time, but also one of the greatest films of all time. Period. The film influenced the later works of such pioneers as Steven Spielberg and George Lucas.
.
And finally last but certainly not least, Blade Runner comes in the top spot on our countdown! ---- Blade Runner was a commerical and critical flop when it was first released back in 1982. Surprising considering it stars Harrison Ford during the height of his popularity, with the the film releasing right between Raiders of the Lost Ark and Return of the Jedi. The film finally got the recognition it deserves and became a cult hit with the introduction of the home video market. Though there have been seven versions of the film with significant changes to the storytelling, Ridley Scott's "The Final Cut" was released in 2007 and the director has called the film his most complete and personal film. A sequel is planned with Scott returning to direct.
.
So there ya have it, the top 5 sci fi flicks of all time! Make sure you chime in below and let us know what you thought of our list and if we missed anything! While your at it, make sure you subscribe to clevver movies for more fun filled top 5 Tuesdays! Thanks so much for watching, ill see ya next time!
