Sarit Haddad candidate au prix MTV
Le nom des cinq chanteurs israéliens candidats pour le Prix MTV 2010 ont été révélés par l'antenne israélienne de la chaîne musicale. Il s'agit de Sarit Haddad, avec sa chanson "Do You Love Me'', de Carolina, pour sa chanson ''Tsar Li Charly'', de Ivri Lider pour ''Jessie'', du groupe Dag Na'hach avec leur titre ''Shir Ne'hama'' et d'Infected Mushrooms, avec ''Smashing The Opponent''. Le clip gagnant représentera Israël durant la cérémonie qui aura lieu le 7 novembre prochain à Madrid.

Les nouveaux princes de la pop
Ivri Lider, Jonathan Goldstein, retenez bien leurs noms, ils devraient tenir le haut de la scène musicale dans les prochains mois. Ces deux israéliens d'origine ont décidé de partir vers d'autres cieux pour faire admirer leurs talents. Direction l'Allemagne pour enregistrer cinq titres en anglais. Un son pop rock digne de Depêche Mode le tout saupoudrée d'une rythmique dancefloor qui a convaincu le grand Jean Michel Jarre de collaborer avec eux. Les cinq chansons sont à découvrir sur leur blog My Space slash typband. A consommer sans modération.

Montrer le bon exemple
Israel Beitenou n'en a cure de la célébrité. Ce qui importe pour le parti nationaliste de droite, c'est de servir son pays et d'avoir défendu l'honneur du drapeau. Le député Moshé Matalon soutient, en ce moment, à la Knesset son projet de loi sur l'annulation de l'aide financière aux artistes n'ayant pas eu l'honneur de porter la tenue vert kaki de l'armée. Le représentant du groupe russophone à l'Assemblée rappelle que l'Armée est une obligation, tout celui qui déroge à la règle doit effectuer un service d'intérêt commun. Et d'ajouter, les artistes doivent montrer le bon exemple à nos jeunes. Les principaux visés par cette loi se nomment Aviv Gefen, Ivri Lider, Marina Maximilian Blumin ou encore Bar Rafaeli. Toutes ces stars devraient, avec cette loi, voir leurs aides financières coupés par l'Etat.

TYP hail from a new breed of so called Middle Eastern artists, those well connected and deeply influenced by the sounds and smells of Berlin clubs, New York bars and London Dance Halls.

The successful Israeli singer songwriter Ivri Lider has teamed up with musician Jonathan Goldstein (better known as "little Johnny") in a duet ensemble called "The Young Professionals". The two recently opened a new MySpace page featuring some new songs. They are already friends with first class stars such as Brian Eno, John Cage and the thriving French composer Jean Michel Jarre. The site also shares some enigmatic facts about the duo. Statements such as: "Work work work, nothing's better then a hot cup of coffee in the morning. We live our lives in execution mode, and we like it. And hate it. It's been too long since I felt a warm body next to mine".
