World premiere of The Dictator
In character as his latest alter ego - General Aladeen - comic Sasha Baron Cohen rocked up in style for the world premiere of his new mockumentary film The Dictator.

Known for creating and taking on outspoken roles such as Borat and Bruno, General Aladeen from the made up country of Wadiya - is no different.

As usual Baron Cohen remained in character throughout, and when asked about same sex marriage gave this outrageous response.

SOUNDBITE General Aladeen, portrayed by actor Sacha Baron Cohen saying (English):

"Well in Wadiya we do not have any gays, although sometimes we do sex activity with men but not for, er, just for the pleasure. But I am very happy because yesterday Nicholas Clegg and David Cameron renewed their vows and now they are the world's most famous gay couple."

General Aladeen is Cohen's new outlandish comedy character.

Aladeen is an oppressive rule - hellbent on keeping democracy at bay during his reign of terror.

In real like Baron Cohen is family man, happily married to actress Isla Fisher.

Looking glamorous on the red carpet his wife revealed what their home life is like:

SOUNDBITE Actress Isla Fisher, saying (English):

"I mean luckily he doesn't bring the characters home emotionally but he certainly does physically. I've had to look at the handlebar moustache when he was Borat for a long time, and then bleach-blond hair for a while, and now I've been looking at the big beard. And it's always a relief when a movie wraps."

Actress Anna Faris stars in the film too.

Looking radiant after just announcing her pregnancy she said Baron Cohen was a dream to work with:

SOUNDBITE Actress Anna Faris, saying (English):

"No he was very much a gentleman. It was such an honour, I've been a fan of his for so long and to be asked to be a part of this was such a thrill. It was always an adventure though, everyday, you never knew what was going to happen."

Sounds a little like the premiere!

For more of this, The Dictator is due to open in the UK and US on May 16.

The Great Gatsby opens in theaters on December 25th, 2012.

Cast: Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, Isla Fisher, Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton, Callan McAuliffe, Gemma Ward, Amitabh Bachchan, Jason Clarke

"The Great Gatsby" follows Fitzgerald-like, would-be writer Nick Carraway as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922, an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz and bootleg kings. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby, and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy, and her philandering, blue-blooded husband, Tom Buchanan. It is thus that Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the super rich, their illusions, loves and deceits. As Nick bears witness, within and without the world he inhabits, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy, and holds a mirror to our own modern times and struggles.
