Un soir de l'été 1975 à Los Angeles, l'adolescente Joan Jett, guitariste au tempérament rebelle, fait la rencontre de l'impresario Kim Fowley et de la batteuse Sandy West. Ensemble, ils décident de fonder le premier groupe rock entièrement féminin. Se joignent à cette nouvelle formation punk, baptisée The Runaways, la guitariste solo Lita Ford et la bassiste Robin. En quête d'une chanteuse, Joan et Kim dénichent dans un bar Cherie Currie, timide adolescente de quinze ans arborant un look à mi-chemin entre David Bowie et Brigitte Bardot. Après des débuts hésitants, la jeune fille gagne de l'assurance, affichant sur scène une arrogance teintée de sexualité, notamment lors d'une tournée mémorable au Japon. Mais la consommation de drogue effrénée de l'immature Cherie, ses désaccords avec Lita à propos de la douteuse stratégie de marketing de l'autoritaire Kim, ainsi que divers problèmes familiaux, viennent sérieusement compromettre son avenir au sein des Runaways.

Well, Amy Winehouse fans everywhere are reeling over a twitpic taken by Keri Hilson and a friend last night. The photo shows Keri with a girl who happens to have black hair, large doorknocker earrings on, and thick black eyeliner. She wrote, *gasp* Amy Winehouse resurrected to party w/ me!!! (seriously, uncanny resemblance). While we can't deny the girl with her is definitely going for Amy's signature look, it probably wasn't the best timing. And now fans are speaking out about the tweet, calling it insensitive, disrespectful and immature. Keri eventually responded to the criticism, saying, "Come on, I mean no harm. All due respect. But really the resemblance freaked me out. This was simply the best tribute ever." She also added, "I apologize 2 anyone who might've taken it the wrong way. As a fan, I thought it was cool that she dressed up to honor Amy. I had no ill intent, but I understand how it appears insensitive...my bad twitterville." Well, at least she apologized, and Keri doesn't seem like the type to try and stir the pot for no reason. That's the deal with Twitter?once it's out in the universe, there's no turning back! Top 5 video Game trash talkers.
What's up gamers? I've been trying to come up with a list of the 5 best trash talkers in video games. So I'm going to go ahead and run down the list I came up with and you guys can jump in the comments and tell me who you think should be on the list. Here we go.
Number 5 comes from a game that I enjoyed immensly, but maybe that's cause i'm immature. Yes that's right I'm talking about Bulletstorm and the character i'm talking about is none other than the foul mouthed General Serrano. His complete arrogance, his death threats and his crudeness made me love to hate this psycopath. The driving force that propelled me through this game was wanting to shove a shotgun in this guy's face and pull the trigger. It's too bad that the folks over at People Can Fly and Epic refuse to give us a sequel to this one.
Number 4 Is the one and only Joker from the Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City Games. Voiced by Mark Hammil his complete lunacy, combined with his pension for mocking the bats, his own henchmen and even other supervillains made this character stand out for me. The inevitable trash talking I would get from the Joker when I died in his are is one of the things that made Arkham City so memorable. He may be completely insane, but I have to admit the guy is good for a laugh.
Number 3 is a guy that was talking trash long before his first video game appearence. He's... (deadpool's voice) Yep that's him. His ability to to break the 4th wall and the way he makes his henchman dress in I heart deadpool shirts has earned him a special place in my heart. It's a place in my heart filled with people I want to punch , but it's still special. His reality show was one of the highlights of shattered dimensions and it's very existence made a mockery of games like fear factor. The merc with a mouth earns the number three spot on my list.
Number 2 is none other than the king himself Duke Nukem. No one in video games has more memorable one liners than this guy. He's like a more narcessitic version of Arnold Schwarzenneger and his ability to dish out the burns while blowing away aliens has endeared him to many gamers hearts. Yes it's a shame that Duke Nukem forever was a flop but that shouldn't tarnish the fondness we all have of his earlier games. Duke Nukem will forever be remembered as one of the greatest trash talking protagonists of all time
And number 1 with a bullet is my personal favorite trash talking AI, Glados. The slow transformation of Glados from a simple instructional voice to a trash talking, murderous AI is a huge part of what makes portal so amazing. The great thing about Glados is that her put downs are all stated in that flat robotic voice that makes them sound so factual. She got extra hurtful in Prototype 2 and I'll always remember this line as my favorite put down in all of gaming.
