Glee-Cap: Season 3, Episode 2 "I Am Unicorn"

I'm Bridget Daly with your Glee-Cap from episode 2, I Am Unicorn. This was an extremely emotional episode. It started with Brittany offering to help Kurt with his campaign for class President with her theme being all about unicorns. Kurt pretty much rebuffed her idea, branding it "too gay." Idina Menzel returned as Shleby, Rachel's biological mom and the baby mama of Quinn's little girl Beth, and encouraged Rachel to take risks if she really wanted to be a star. Rachel. In that same storyline, Puck decided to show up at Shelby's door because he wanted to meet his daughter. Shelby allowed it, and they both discussed the fact that if Quinn wanted to be a part of the baby's life, she'd better clean up that skank act?and fast. Then came the auditions for the school musical. Kurt blew the director panel away with his performance of I'm the Greatest Star. While they loved it, he overheard them saying he just wasn't strong enough to play the male lead. Cut to his boyfriend Blaine's performance of Something's Coming, and he had everyone in tears, asking him if he'd mind reading for the part of Tony, the male lead. We then see a devastated Kurt storm off. Meanwhile, Quinn cleans up her act and returns to New Directions, but mumbles to Puck that it's all an act and she intends on trying for full custody of her baby. Rachel's Mom Returns to 'Glee'

For the past few weeks, it seems as though the only info we've gotten about cast members centers around news of departures from the show, however this story is about a return! Idina Menzel -- aka Shelby Corcoran, Rachel's birth mother will reportedly be coming back to the show in season 3. And this time around, Deadline is reporting that her arc could last for as many as 12 episodes. Her return is described as the only significant cast addition coming the near future. Shelby will be making a comeback, returning from New York to start teaching at McKinnley High, and of course this means that drama is on the way. Keep in mind that aside from being Rachel's birth mother, Shelby also adopted Puck and Quinn's baby girl, and had a bit of a fling with Mr. Shuester too. Sony just told us that the episode, entitled "Mash-Up" will feature a cover of Gaga's You and I, sung by Matthew Morrison and Idina Menzel. Yeah, we know. It sounds amazing already. The song will be mashed-up with Eddie Rabbitt and Crystal Gayle's 1982 single of the same name. We're super excited to hear this song performed by Mr. Shu and Shelby, considering this will be the first time we see the dueling choir directors collaborating this season. This episode has a pretty awesome tracklisting. The other songs are Hot For Teacher, Hit Me With Your Best Shot mashed up with One Way or Another, Oklahoma, I Can't Go For That mashed up with You Make My Dreams, and Rumor Has it mashed up with Someone Like You. Is a Cameron Diaz the next Glee guest star? Hey music fans, you're tuned in to ClevverMusic. ClevverNews sat down with actress Cameron Diaz and Glee star Matthew Morrison to talk about their upcoming roles in the film 'What To Expect When You're Expecting,' in theatres May 18.
The duo, who are old friends, star in 'What To Expect When You're Expecting' as Jules and Evan. While promoting the film, we asked Cameron if she would ever agree to guest star on Glee, and here's what she had to say.
Well, if Cameron and Matthew have their way, it looks like we'll be seeing Cameron on Season 4 of Fox's Glee. Maybe Cameron could be a love interest for Principal Figgins? If Diaz does indeed join the show's long slate of celebrity guest stars, she'll be in good company. Take for instance: Gwenyth Paltrow, John Stamos, Idina Menzel, and Kristen Chenoweth.
