Hey guys, thanks for tuning back into clevver movies, im Tatiana carrier and Ive got the deets on mr hugh jackman and what he had to say about the wolverine! So some have argued that the past xman flicks have been way too heavy with way too many characters, and WAY Too many story lines crammed in a 2 hour flick, well Hugh Jackman promises that won't be the case with the next installment in the further adventures of Logan. While out promoting Real Steel this weekend, Hugh Jackman took some time out to address the impending stand alone adventure The Wolverine, and promises that it will solely focus on his character of Logan, and that he will be a leaner, meaner fighting machine. "The Wolverine will do the character justice and show his uncontrollable "rage". I think we've got the chance to nail the character this time, to do the hole-in-one. We haven't managed that yet. On the last movie, we complicated it with too many other characters. And there'll be more women this time, which is good. James Mangold will direct wolverine, and mark bomback is penning the draft for the script...and once Hugh Jackman is done dancing and prancing on the set of Les Miserables, he will star. The Wolverine is set to come to theatres in 2012. So what do you guys think? Are you going to take hughs word for it and go see the wolverine? Hey everyone, hope you had a safe and movie filled weekend! Im Tatiana carrier and ive got the results from the box office! Dreamworks and Disneys Real Steel came in first throughout the weekend with 27.3 million dollars at the box office. This Shawn Levy-directed bot battle starring Hugh Jackman received a rare 'A' CinemaScore overall and 'A+' from moviegoers under age 25. The pic is based on the 1956 short story "Steel" by Richard Matheson, which is Set in the near future, where robot boxing is a top sport. In the flick, a struggling promoter feels he's found a champion in a discarded robot. During his hopeful rise to the top, he discovers he has an 11-year-old son who wants to know his father. Sonys The Ides Of March came in second with 10.4 million throughout the weekend. "The acting is absolutely tremendous. You coudn't take your eyes off any one of these actors," Sony president of worlwide distribution Rory Bruer said. Ides of March, costing a modest $12.5 million to produce, drew a B CinemaScore overall and a B+ from moviegoers under the age of 18. Cold Creek Pictures fully financed the pic, with Sony distributing. The flick stars goerge Clooney and ryan gosling. Coming in third place is our relentless dolphin in the dolphin tale. The flick made 9.1 throughtout the weekend with a cume of 49 million. The story centered on the friendship between a boy and a dolphin whose tail was lost in a crab trap stars morgan freedman, Ashley judd and harry connick jr. Weekend Box Office Preview: Footloose, The Thing & The Big Year
Watch Footloose Trailer http://youtu.be/cYg2oaHc0_o?hd=1 Watch The Thing Trailer http://youtu.be/T7Rd8TBAvU4?hd=1 Watch The Big Year Trailer http://youtu.be/9zTt6PEODBM?hd=1 http://bit.ly/clevvermovies - Click to Subscribe! http://Facebook.com/ClevverMovies - Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies - Follow Us! Whats up guys, Im Tatiana carrier with clevver movies, and with the weekend upon us, we have lots of great options at the box office this weekend, but the question is, which will reign champ come Monday when all the numbers are added up from the weekend? The 3 newbies of the weekend are footloose, the big year and the thing....we think that Footloose will probably come out on top throughout the weekend earning a potential 17-18 million. Footloose is a remix of the original which was released in 1984 and starred kevin bacon and sarah Jessica parker. The new version star Kenny wormald, and Julianne Hough and promises to deliver dancing, drama and love... Coming in 2nd, will probably be real steel...the robot boxing flick has done pretty well since it opened 3 weeks ago, and we anticipate another strong weekend for hugh jackman's feel good flick with 16-17 million throughtout the weekend. In third place will most likely be the thing. The thing stars joel Edgerton and is about the discovery of an alien craft leads to a confrontation between graduate student Kate Lloyd and scientist Dr. Sander Halvorson. Its definitely a scary one, and we think will make about 15 million throught the weekend. Coming in 4th place will be the big year which also releases today we think it should bring in about 8-9 million throughout the weekend. This comedy stars owen Wilson, steve martin and jack balck and is about Three avid bird watchers compete to spot the rarest birds in North America at a prestigious annual event. Definirly a funny flick that we think will draw in a solid crowd simply based off of the cast. And finally, we think our determined dolp[hin in dolphin tale will remain strong in 5th place earing roughly 6 million throught the weekend. This inspiring film is great for all ages, and is the strongedt family offering of the weekend. So which of these 5 will you be seeing this weekend? I will defintily be checking out the big year...with a hilarious cast like that combined with the competitive sport of bird watching...I am thinking it's a win win!
Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez Rent Out Theater For Movie Date
http://Facebook.com/ClevverTV - Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverTV - Follow Us! You're watching a ClevverTV couple alert -- I'm Joslyn Davis in Hollywood with news on the goings on of one of our favorite duos -- Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. The Biebs made headlines and boyfriend of the year a few weeks back when he was able to land the entire Staples Center for a date night with his lady. And now it seems as though this sort of thing is becoming quite the trend, as the couple reportedly rented out an entire movie theater so they could see Hugh Jackman's new film "Real Steel." Selena is in the midst of her Canadian tour and Justin just returned to his native country after finishing up his My World Tour in Latin America, and movie night was their date of choice. Now before you guys start criticizing the pair for commandeering and entire theater, keep in mind that this isn't something they necessarily probably wanted to do, rather, it's something they needed to do. The Hollywood Reporter stated that just their presence at the theater caused fan delirium, so maybe having a private screening was in an effort to protect themselves and others! Either way, it's super romantic and definitely a good date movie choice, don't ya think? Hit the comments section with your thoughts and make sure to keep it Clevver around the clock by subbing our channel on YouTube. I'm Joslyn Davis, have a great day!
Weekend Box Office Preview: Paranormal Activity 3, The Three Musketeers
Watch Paranormal Activity 3 Trailer http://youtu.be/In9svUXwZXQ?hd=1 Watch The Three Musketeers Trailer http://youtu.be/KSQ-qKtnP8w?hd=1 Watch Johnny English Reborn http://youtu.be/_883cRmOZXs?hd=1 http://bit.ly/clevvermovies - Click to Subscribe! http://Facebook.com/ClevverMovies - Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies - Follow Us! Happy Friday everyone! Thanks for tuning back into clevver movies, Your number one source for all things movies! With the weekend upon us, and lots of great movies to go see, we want to give you a box office preview to help you decide what flick will be getting your hard earned bucks in the theatres this weekend! Expected to come in first place throughout the weekend is Paranormal Activity 3 with a potential $41 million. The first Paranormal Activity earned $107.9 million against a $15,000 budget in 2009, while Paranormal Activity 2 (which was not as well received) grossed $84.8 million against a still-tiny $3 million budget in 2010. HOWEVER, we think that based off of the intense trailer, lots of scary movie fans will check out the third installment this weekend. Coming in second place is expected to be The Three Musketeers with $13 million. Three Musketeers, costing $90 million to make and produced by Germany's Constantin Films, is expected to open in the low double digits at the domestic box office, and is tracking best among older males. The flick stars Logan Lerman, Matthew Macfadyen and Ray Stevenson and as you guys know wasn't received that well by the critics, so I guess we will have to just wait and see after the weekend! Coming in 3rd place should be Real Steel with $10.5 million who has been steady in the top three since it opened Oct 7th. The flick stars Hugh Jackman, Evangeline Lilly and Dakota Goyo. In its second weekend open, Footloose is expected to pull in 8 million, placing the dance movie in 4th place. Footloose the remake is about a City kid Ren MacCormack who moves to a small town where rock 'n' roll and dancing have been banned, and his rebellious spirit shakes up the populace. And finally in 5th place will most likely be JOhhny English Reborn with 6 million dollars. In the comedy, Johnny English goes up against international assassins hunting down the Chinese premier. The flick stars Rowan Atkinson, Rosamund Pike and Dominic West. So will you guys be checking out any of the top five contenders this weekend, if so, be sure to tell us which one and onve you see the flicks of your choice, make sure you comment below and tell us what you thought! Thanks for hanging out with us all week, im Tatiana carrier for clevver movies, see ya Monday!
Director James Mangold Talks 'The Wolverine'
http://bit.ly/clevvermovies - Click to Subscribe! http://Facebook.com/ClevverMovies - Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies - Follow Us! James Mangold Talks Wolverine! Hey there Wolverine fans, Im Tatiana carrier and Ive got the scoop on wolverine! Director James Mangold recently dished to indie wire about wolverine, and we have the details! Mangold told The Playlist that he thought that a sequel was the best place for him to be able to imprint his personality on the property...he said, "You could actually just tell a story about this amazing character from the start, just the way they do when you really read a comic....You don't have to spend the first hour saying how they were born; you can actually just find them in an emotional space, in the middle of action, and what happens is you're not crowded with cutting to nine other action heroes. You can really make a movie about this dude." He also discussed initial hesitation on "The Wolverine," .... specifically because of the attention director Darren Aronofsky attracted to it when he signed on to direct and then pulled out. He said, "I spoke to Darren a bit about it before I ended up taking it on...But I will tell you that when Darren stepped off, I was in the middle of doing a lot of other things, and when it was brought up to me, I actually didn't even consider it for the very reasons you're talking about. It was, oh, who wants to do that, and follow that, and I could hear all of the media swirl about it." He went on to say "Several months went by and I hadn't even really read it, and later when they came back to me and I kind of took it in, and a lot of that hand-wringing had kind of died down...What I saw was some really promising material, and to me an interesting character played by a great friend of mine who's a terrific actor, Hugh Jackman." Ultimately, however, Mangold gave the most scoop on the "The Wolverine" ....he said, the flick would focus on the ideas that are at the core of the character, even as he delivers a visceral, intense, and entertaining film. I think more than anything, it's a character piece, asking really interesting questions that are what pulled me in about what it means to be immortal. What is it to live forever, when you lose everyone you've ever loved? Either you watch them get killed, or you just lose them by attrition. What is it to feel the burden of saving mankind through all of its mistakes, over and over and over again. What's the toll it takes on you as a living being that is somehow living this Frankensteinian, eternal life? And there's a lot of interesting dramatic questions we're going to deliver on as well as some really inventive action." I personally cant wait for the wolverine to come out! But what about you guys? Les Miserables Casting Updates
http://bit.ly/clevvermovies - Click to Subscribe! http://Facebook.com/ClevverMovies - Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies - Follow Us! Hey guys welcome back to ClevverMovies, I'm Tatiana Carrier and today I have the latest casting update on the upcoming movie, Les Miserables. . Now this film is getting major press, because not only does it have an A-list cast such as Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, and Geoffrey Rush attached, it also has Oscar winner Tom Hooper is on to direct. The New York Post is reporting that the coveted lead role of Eponine (EPO-NEEN) is now between four front runners. . Right now it is really a toss-up between Scarlett Johansson, Evan Rachel Wood, Lea Michele and Taylor Swift. All of these ladies would bring something interesting to the table. Scarlett is a proven professional in both her acting and her singing, Evan Rachel Wood would bring in a unique side that could be interesting for the role. Lea Michele is an obvious choice since she already has experience with the story line and can clearly hold her own when singing. And then we have Taylor. She hasn't had too much acting experience, so it would definitely be interesting to see how she would take on the role. What do you guys think? . Of these four ladies who do you want to see take the lead? Let us know below and make sure to subscribe to our channel to stay updated on all your casting news as it happens. For ClevverMovies I'm Tatiana Carrier and we'll catch you guys next time
