Hi Gleeks, I'm Bridget Daly and you're watching ClevverMusic. With Glee on hiatus, there isn't much to report on these days, so that's why we're so stoked on this breaking news! According to E Online, the show is planning a full on super tribute to the late Whitney Houston for one of their upcoming episodes. Sources say they're currently shooting the episode now, which will include eight songs from Whitney's library.
Producers reportedly decided to do this after Whitney's death, especially after the positive response to Amber Riley's cover of I Will Always Love You. A show source also notes that this will "not be a typical tribute." They said, "It's using Whitney's music as a way to say goodbye. A way to respectfully say thank you for her music."
We sort of had a feeling this was happening after Lea Michele tweeted, "Starting a new episode today. A very special tribute to one of the worlds most amazing singers. Very excited about this one."
Insiders say it will be more of a character piece that focuses on Glee's graduating seniors having a real hard time letting go. Wow, sounds like this one is going to be a tearjerker guys! The Live Lights was formed in 2008 when Adam Khatib and Bryan Higginbotham, who had met years back, agreed to start up a new project. Victor Montemayor and Martin Rios joined shortly after, and instantly began their musical excursion performing in Houston.
Bonded over a shared ambition to rock the foundation of indie-rock music, The Live Lights
posses the unique ability to whip the stage up entirely befitting the beat-driven hearts and souls of indie-rock fans. Their dynamic songs are full of dramatic emotion and moving layers that can be felt from start to finish. The Live Lights are a four-way operation. Contributions by all members help to define the sound that is The Live Lights. "A blend of different music backgrounds woven together like your favorite blanket," says Rios.
Since inception, The Live Lights have built a strong and faithful following and have rattled audiences in the Houston and Texas region with their live performances and unique style. Playing shows with national and international acts including Peter Hook (New order/Joy Division), Datarock, Esser, Ruben Wu(Ladytron), Young the Giant and more, have helped The Live Lights reach out to a much broader fan base. Other achievements include performances @ Indieweek Fest 2010 in Canada, & Ghoulsfest 2010 with Macy Gray, We are Scientists, Bad Brains, and many more.
The band is influenced by artists from all genres including The Killers, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Radiohead, The Beatles, Ours, New Order, and many more.
The band's second CD was released in the spring of 2011 and is a compilation of songs with a modish blend of electronics, angular guitar work, a la mode drumming, and lucid vocals. A refreshing sign of growth and depth in the song writing is apparent as The Live Lights continue to fine tune their sound and direction. The new CD includes three new tracks produced by Matt Novesky of Blue October.

Born in Houston, Texas, Kevin grew up in England where his extraordinary musical talent was evident from an early age. His self-taught piano skills fuelled his passion for song writing and by his mid-teens he was producing his own songs, and other bands, on his four-track tape recorder. Despite being a rebellious student, Kevin graduated from university with a first class honors degree in Music, the highest award given that year.
His first CD, Kevin Rowe Live, was recorded in 2005 at a sell-out concert in his home town of Basingstoke, England. Encouraged by the sales and the enthusiasm of a growing fan base, Kevin began working on a debut studio album. As well as writing the songs, Kevin played every instrument himself before engineering and producing the whole record in his bedroom. 10am captured the attention of radio producers, venue directors, label managers and music publishers alike.
In less than a year, Kevin's YouTube videos had attracted nearly 100,000 hits. 'Sleeping With An Angel' became a YouTube hit and caught the imagination of German label TokaBeatz Records. A remix of the song stayed at number 5 in Germany throughout the summer of 2010. But Kevin still couldn't achieve the breakthrough he needed in the UK.
Kevin made his final gamble. He sold everything, including his studio and precious Nord piano, and jumped on a flight to Atlanta, Georgia. Arriving in the US with just a suitcase and guitar, he was quickly endorsed by Nord Keyboards and DBZ Guitars. Within a few weeks of his arrival to the US he was invited to perform at one of BMI's Music Showcases.
Kevin's songs are mostly autobiographical. His perceptive lyrics, catchy melodies and distinctively soulful vocal style combine to produce performances which are as memorable as they are moving. Reviewers and critics have compared him to Bryan Adams, Joe Cocker and John Mayer.

I also am a big music fan and play a ton of covers of other artists including everything from Tom Petty to Reckless Kelly to Little Wayne. I love to entertain and play a lot of different events and venues around Texas as a one man band such as Saxon Pub, Momos, Cellar Door, Fitzgeralds, Avant Garden, Wine Styles, County Line, etc.
I love to get a crowd riled up and get them dancing, yet I also love relaxing an audience in upscale environments. It's all about the audience for me. I play acoustic and electric guitar and keyboard and I have boundless energy and enthusiasm for what I do.

Rihanna says she'd give her "entire life" to portray the late Whitney Houston on the big screen. Hey guys, welcome back to ClevverMusic! Obviously given the unfortunate circumstances under which Whitney Houston died in February, it's practically a given that ideas for a Whitney biopic are brewing.
And with such a legacy, it's no surprise that Rihanna would jump at the chance to play the lead role - telling reporters in Britain quote - "That would be something that I would give my entire life to do, because I would really want to pull it off. That's a huge, huge role, and whoever does it has to do a good job." In fact, RiRi says that the first song that she remembers falling in love with was a Whitney Houston song - the classic "I Will Always Love You". Rihanna says that song specifically was really inspiring and it's what made her develop a passion for music. As Rihanna puts it, Whitney is "partly responsible for me being here in this industry."
But just because RiRi says she wants it, doesn't mean she'll get it. Even though no movie has been confirmed, there's been a ton of speculation as to who could best portray Whitney - from Jordin Sparks to Jennifer Hudson, Vivica Fox to Meagan Good.
