The eerie song entitled 27 talks about a friend who is addicted to drugs and eventually dies. MIA tweeted to her fans that she recorded the song to originally be on her new mixtape, but decided to put it out for Amy instead. It's pretty scary how pefect the lyrics are for the current situation. MIA sings, your friendship did mean something but you left me for nothing. 27 is of course the age Amy was when she was found dead in her London flat over the weekend, and she joins fellow talented artists Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain and Jimi hendrix who all died at that age as well. Amy's family has issued a statement saying, Our family has been left bereft by the loss of Amy, a wonderful daughter, sister, niece. She leaves a gaping hole in our lives." So sad. So some have argued that the past xman flicks have been way too heavy with way too many characters, and WAY Too many story lines crammed in a 2 hour flick, well Hugh Jackman promises that won't be the case with the next installment in the further adventures of Logan. While out promoting Real Steel this weekend, Hugh Jackman took some time out to address the impending stand alone adventure The Wolverine, and promises that it will solely focus on his character of Logan, and that he will be a leaner, meaner fighting machine. "The Wolverine will do the character justice and show his uncontrollable "rage". I think we've got the chance to nail the character this time, to do the hole-in-one. We haven't managed that yet. On the last movie, we complicated it with too many other characters. And there'll be more women this time, which is good. James Mangold will direct wolverine, and mark bomback is penning the draft for the script...and once Hugh Jackman is done dancing and prancing on the set of Les Miserables, he will star. The "Hugo" helmer will return to the crime thriller genre in bringing Norwegian author Jo Nesbo's novel, The Snowman, to the big screen. . Scorsese had been circling the project for some time now but Nesbo had to give final approval for the director. He has done so, confirming to a Swedish newspaper that Scorsese will direct the first English-language adaptation of his work. . Snowman wont be the family friendly work like Hugo, and shift more towards the crime thriller genre, much like his Oscar winning, The Departed. . The novel features Norwegian detective Harry Hole, described as an anti-authoritarian, anti-sobriety cop, who investigates particularly gruesome killings. In Snowman, the seventh book in the Harry Hole franchise, a son finds his mother's pink scarf wrapped around the neck of a ominous looking snowman. Hole realizes she is the latest victim of a serial killer. . Screenwriter Matthew Michael Carnahan from World War Z will pen the script to Snowman. Working Title's Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner will produce and no casting info has been released just yet, but we will be sure to keep you posted as we get more details! . But she also took it as an opportunity to slam President Obama and Beyonce too! She said quote, "I lost ALL respect for Obama when he dissed Etta James in favor of Beyonce. I have not listened to anything Beyonce or Jay z has said or recorded since they did that to Etta. Their arrogance was disgusting." She's referring to when Obama invited Bey to sing At Last at his 2009 Inaugural Ball rather than having James do it herself. Of course Beyonce fans have lashed out at Roseann since the tweet, to which she responded quote, "Beyonce's fans are really ignorant-she should not be proud of entertaining drooling mutants!" Wow! FILMED DURING INDIE WEEK CANADA 2011!
With two EPs under their belt, this band has left a sense of anticipation in the air with their live shows as of late, with fans always wanting more. 2010 saw the band return to the studio to record their debut album with long time friend Owen Lewis, who has worked with such acts as REM, Flogging Molly, Hole, Snow Patrol, Paulo Nutini & more. Now after months locked away behind closed doors, perfecting every last second for the armada of songs that is their debut album, entitled The Devil In Music.
Fox Jaw Bounty Hunters from Limerick City, is made up of four gentleman; Ronan Mitchell (vox/guitar/keys), Morgan Nolan (guitar/b.vox/keys), Shane Serrano (drums/b.vox/clarinet) and Sean O'Mahony (bass/b.vox). Despite their ages, they have many years experience in the world music scene, churning out music to the masses, from punk rock and metal to traditional Irish. In late 2007, after years of touring with their past bands, they found themselves together in a practice room, collectively-minded, agreeing that they had exhausted their current projects.
Fox Jaw Bounty Hunters are pretty much a well oiled machine by this stage. From being fresh out of the studio at the beginning of the year, they have since released 3 singles, released the highly critically acclaimed debut album 'The Devil In Music', embarked on countless tours across Ireland including a quick string of dates in London despite the apocalyptic riots! Many festival appearances including being added to the Main Stage at Independence Festival to share the boards with Editors, Ash, ASIWYFA & Therapy? They were added to the lineup of Guinness Arthur's Day 2011 performing to a sold out crowd at Limerick's Big Top. They have had their music picked up by Becks Vier for a TV advertising campaign, featured on a special edition flip cover of Hotpress Magazine, Ireland's premier music magazine, featured on the Jagermeister Freezer Sessions Compilation CD and Tour, was invited on the IMRO Showcase 20th Anniversary tour, 'Album Of The Year' nominations, countless amounts of airplay, music video broadcasts, radio sessions, interviews, reviews and made many new fans made along the way, most notably 2FMs Dave Fanning, Dan Hegarty & Cormac Battle. The list goes on and on... And their year isn't even over yet.

BRAD PITT LIGHT ORCHESTRA

Hailing from the west of Ireland, The Brad Pitt Light Orchestra has its origins as a group of college friends drawn together from the intertwining worlds of music, theatre, family.... and IT. After parting ways due to emigration and the like, The Brad Pitt Light Orchestra (BPLO) reformed when two members - Ann and David Blake - featured on The Ray D'Arcy Show's album 'Even Better Than The Real Thing Volume 2' with a haunting version of Hole in The Head by The Sugababes. The BPLO went on to produce two successful EPs, 'Fireside Chat' and 'Small Contradictions'.
With an ever-increasing fan base, the BPLO first caught the attention of both Paul McLoone and Alison Curtis of Today FM with their joyful winter single December. Since then, they have recorded two sessions for The McLoone Show while also enjoying strong airplay on other national radio shows - including those of Ryan Tubridy , Ray D'Arcy, Alison Curtis, Jenny Huston, Tom Dunne, Dave Couse, Dan Hegarty and on many Independent local radio stations as well as on BBC Northern Ireland. The BPLO released their eagerly awaited debut LP 'Lowering the Tone' on August 27 2010.
While the three lead vocalists- Blake siblings Ann, David and James- conjure distinct moods, it is the close sibling harmonies that sit at the heart of the BPLO's sound. Built around that glow is the formidable melodic instrumentation of the group and an irrepressible theatricality. The BPLO's music evokes the grandeur of Arcade Fire, the warmth of Crosby Stills & Nash, the wistfulness of Belle & Sebastian, the melodic sensibility of the Divine Comedy and a whiff of a Tom Waits carnival. Arresting musicality coupled with a dark, wry wit, they produce an unmissable vibrant, life-affirming, live experience. Regular performers at Irish festivals like the Electric Picnic and Flatlake, the BPLO comfortably traverse the literary, theatrical and music worlds.

Hailing from the west of Ireland, The Brad Pitt Light Orchestra has its origins as a group of college friends drawn together from the intertwining worlds of music, theatre, family.... and IT. After parting ways due to emigration and the like, The Brad Pitt Light Orchestra (BPLO) reformed when two members - Ann and David Blake - featured on The Ray D'Arcy Show's album 'Even Better Than The Real Thing Volume 2' with a haunting version of Hole in The Head by The Sugababes. The BPLO went on to produce two successful EPs, 'Fireside Chat' and 'Small Contradictions'.
With an ever-increasing fan base, the BPLO first caught the attention of both Paul McLoone and Alison Curtis of Today FM with their joyful winter single December. Since then, they have recorded two sessions for The McLoone Show while also enjoying strong airplay on other national radio shows - including those of Ryan Tubridy , Ray D'Arcy, Alison Curtis, Jenny Huston, Tom Dunne, Dave Couse, Dan Hegarty and on many Independent local radio stations as well as on BBC Northern Ireland. The BPLO released their eagerly awaited debut LP 'Lowering the Tone' on August 27 2010.
While the three lead vocalists- Blake siblings Ann, David and James- conjure distinct moods, it is the close sibling harmonies that sit at the heart of the BPLO's sound. Built around that glow is the formidable melodic instrumentation of the group and an irrepressible theatricality. The BPLO's music evokes the grandeur of Arcade Fire, the warmth of Crosby Stills & Nash, the wistfulness of Belle & Sebastian, the melodic sensibility of the Divine Comedy and a whiff of a Tom Waits carnival. Arresting musicality coupled with a dark, wry wit, they produce an unmissable vibrant, life-affirming, live experience. Regular performers at Irish festivals like the Electric Picnic and Flatlake, the BPLO comfortably traverse the literary, theatrical and music worlds.
