Weve got more news on Noah, coming up on Clevver Movies! Hey guys, Im Tatiana Diana and Ive got the latest on Noah! Paramount is making major headway with signing on for Noah, the big budget biblical themed story. Directed by Darren Aronofsky, the film will be a re-telling of the Noah's ark story. According to Deadline, the bidding war for the flick is down to 20th Century Fox and Paramount, both of which were vying to partner with New Regency, which has been involved all the way through the process. Aronofsky's flick is estimated to cost a whopping 100 million to make, which we think is worth every penny, considering his 12 million dollar budget Black Swan made a killing bringing in 315 million worldwide! SO who will win the big bidding war? My bet is on Paramount, what do you think? Let us know by commenting below, and be sure to stay here on clevver movies for more movie updates!
'The Lone Ranger' Producer & Director Cutting Fees To Get Film Made
http://bit.ly/clevvermovies - Click to Subscribe! http://Facebook.com/ClevverMovies - Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies - Follow Us! Hey everyone, thanks for checking back with clevver movies, Im Tatiana carrier and Ive got the latest on the lone ranger! As you know from our recent reports, Disney has shut down The Lone Ranger due to the projected 250 million dollar budget. I mean, I get it, 250 million seems a bit high for a cowboy flick, but I think the big argument here is, Director Gore Verbiniski along with Johnny Depp to star should be a bulletproof project, so why pull the plug on such a potential blockbuster? According to the Hollywood Reporter though, the movie would have to make over 800 million in the box office to even come close to covering marketing costs and all the other expenses when releasing a movie. So now what? Well, verbinski is starting to shave down the budget in hopes to still make the flick. For starters, he has reduced Producer Jerry Bruckheimers fees by 10 million...still not enough of a cut considering Disney was looking to spend 215 million max. so most likely verbinski will also have to make some re-wrties to the script to make more headway in cutting the budget down a bit. So at this point, theres really no telling whether or not the movie will ever get made, but atleast we know there are efforts in the works and we can remain slightly hopeful! What do you guys think about the original 250 million dollar budget? Do you think its outrageous or necessary?
