Foo Fighters to Premiere 'Rope' Music Video

Hey everyone I'm Brian Corsetti for Clevver Music. As we reporter earlier The Foo Fighters will be performing at this Years South By Southwest film Festival. But what you didn't know is that they are will perform their current single, "Rope" -- which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Rock Songs chart at the mtvU Woodie Awards on Mar. 15. The next day they are going to debut a feature-length documentary chronicling the Foos' history and will close out the film portion of South By Southwest. The Foo Fighters are among an array of acts billed to play the Woodies, which recognizes the top artists as voted by college-aged music fans. The performance of "Rope" will be preceded by its music video premiere on Thursday (Mar. 10) 7:54 pm ET on MTV and MTV.com. The Foo Fighters will introduce the premiere live from the home of a "super-fan" in Los Angeles. The bands slew of appearances precedes the Apr. 12 release of "Wasting Light," their seventh studio album and attempt at all-analog recordings, which were completed in frontman Dave Grohl's garage. I'm Bridget Daly for ClevverMusic, breaking down the brand new video for "Rope." After months of waiting, the Foo Fighters finally premiered the vid on MTV and MTV.com today, and followed it up with a sweet Q & A session that was held at one lucky fan's house. So the craziest part of the video is that it was shot on VHS?no joke. There's not much to the video, with the guys jamming out in this cube-like room that just changes colors. No other frills, nothing. Frontman Dave Grohl told MTV, "We had to build this cube out of fabric and wood for the band to play within, and it's lit from outside. He added, "It's not important for us to make videos, but it's fun to make videos. I like making videos." Shooting the video on tape?in a garage, I might add--added to the fun part, and Dave said no one was allowed to use modern technology on the video, much to the dismay of the producers. Foo Fighters Slam Glee Creator Ryan Murphy: He's a Jerk!

I'm your host Bridget Daly. The Foo Fighters have become the Glee Fighters! Frontman Dave Grohl is NOT a fan of the musical comedy, and slammed show creator Ryan Murphy in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter. He told the publication that it should be every band's right as to whether or not they want to do the show. Grohl went on to say," F--- that guy for thinking anybody and everybody should want to do 'Glee.' ... I watched 10 minutes. It's not my thing." And that's not all! Drummer Taylor Hawkins also chimed in with his fightin' words, calling Murphy a jerk. Now you may recall this isn't the first feud Murphy has gotten in with artists. He recently had a war of words with Kings of Leon over not wanting to be on the show. And he referred to Slash from Guns and Roses as a quote "washed up old rock star" after he refused to license the rock band's songs to the show because, he said, " 'Glee' is worse than 'Grease,' and 'Grease' is bad enough." To that Murphy said, "Usually I find that people who make those comments, their careers are over; they're uneducated and quite stupid." Murphy has yet to respond to this latest slammification, but based on how he's reacted in the past, we're sure he won't keep quiet over this one. Thanks so much to her for creating this Twitter photobook, we love seeing the star with another celeb, Taylor Lautner, who she was sure to call her "old friend." Also, the gal who has played a wolf in the past mentioned that she just did a movie with this Teen Wolf star, Dylan O'Brien. The two posed along with Tyler Hoechlin, V sandwiched between the two dudes. Victoria also got a fun behind-the-scenes pic with Tyler the Creator -- the winner of Best New Artist for the evening. Some other stars to make it into Victoria's Twitterbook include Seth Rogen and Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters, who according to the twitpic post, asked for the photo -- since his kids are fans of Victoria. So overall, it looks like Victoria had a fun night at the 2011 VMAs, and we actually chatted with her on the black MTV carpet, so click the link below to check it out. Vi avevamo detto su queste pagine che il nuovo album dei Foo Fighters Wasting Light avrebbe visto la collaborazione dell'ex bassista dei Nirvana Krist Novoselic. Sappiamo anche che nelle fila dei Foo Fighters milita un certo Pat Smear che, per chi non lo sapesse, era la chitarra 'addizionale' dei Nirvana dal vivo, colui che ha suonato anche su quel fantastico disco che è Unplugged in New York. Ebbene Dave Grohl ha recentemente dichiarato che dopo le registrazioni di Wasting Light la band aveva un live a sorpresa in programma in un piccolo locale. Dave ha invitato Krist Novoselic a suonare e insieme a Pat hanno cominciato ad eseguire Smells Like Teen Spirit, per la prima volta insieme dopo almeno 17 anni. I tre si sono visti in studio per provare Marigold, b-side del singolo Heart-Shaped Box presente sull'album In Utero. Tra l'altro è l'unica canzone dei Nirvana in cui canta Dave Grohl. Dopo aver eseguito la canzone hanno dato vita a questo piccolo 'revival'. Mi sta scendendo la lacrimuccia e mi chiedo perché Dave Grohl e i Foo Fighters non decidono di portarla dal vivo.
