One of the biggest categories of the night is Choice Music Single, and the competition is fierce. It's between the following: Black Eyed Peas for The Time, Selena Gomez and The Scene Who Says, Lady Gaga Born This Way, Katy Perry Firework and Pittbull featuring Ne-Yo for Give Me Everything. Some of the other categories that'll be a tight race this year are Choice Music Female and Male Artist, as well as Choice Music Group, where the cast of Glee is pitted against the Peas, Far East Movement, Selena Gomez and the Scene and The Script. According to an interview with MTV News, producer RedOne opened up about some of the studio sessions he's had lately, saying that he's working on this smash from Far East Movement and Justin is singing the chorus. He said QUOTE 'it's a really good song, and I think people are going to dance like crazy to it.' The music producer also said that JB's got great energy and he's really becoming a man. He's a real musician who can play the guitar, piano, sing and that hopefully they'll be able to figure out some smashes for Justin's next album too.
