As you know, we normally pick just ONE trailer of the week, but with so many good trailers being released this week, it was hard to pick JUST ONE...so I managed to widdle it down to just two...Haywire and Battleship. Lets start with haywire. After checking out this trailer, the movie looks a standard spy/revenge thriller. AS you know, Haywire stars MMA champ Gia Carano, who by the way, has never acted before starring in this film. The flick is about A black ops super soldier who seeks payback after she is betrayed and set up during a mission. The movie stars Carano, Ewan McGregor and MIchael Fassbender and releases Jan 20th 2012. The battle ship trailer is pretty bad ass also. While Im not convinced the story line will be Oscar worthy, the special effects seem legit and the stars don't look too shabby. Battleship is about A fleet of ships that are forced to battle with an armada of unknown origins in order to discover and thwart their destructive goals. The flick stars Liam Neeson, Alexander Skarsgård, Taylor Kitsch, Brooklyn Decker and Rhianna and releases May 18, 2012. The character played my Tom Hanks, Larry Crown,a middle-aged Navy Veteran, is fired from his job at a box store since he does not have a college degree. Larry is divorcee who just cant seem to keep a job... so he decides to go to college wher he meets and falls in love with his married teacher, Mercedes played by Julia Roberts. The flick shows a funny side to life's problems and definitely is the feel good of the bunch! . Next up on our list is Beginners... The film tells the story of a man named Oliver, played by Ewan McGregor, who is trying to reflect on the life...and death of his father while trying to begin a new relationship with a women... Before the death of his father, Oliver finds out his dad had a younger male lover and was also diagnosed with terminal cancer which ultimately leads to his death. The flick has some comic relief with a romantic twist, while dealing with serious issues which is why we think Beginners would be a great pic for our hard core movie buffs.
