'Black Widow' Movie To Be Origin Story?

Marvel President Kevin Feige announces a Black Widow stand alone movie is being planned and star Scarlett Johansson knows just what it should be about.
With The Avengers breaking records around the world, taking in over $200 million its opening weekend in the US, talk of spinoffs is on everyone's minds. One character that already has a spinoff planned for is Scarlett Johansson's S.H.I.E.L.D. spy Black Widow. First appearing in 2010's Iron Man 2, Black Widow more than holds her own in The Avengers. Feige recently told Movieline that a spinoff for Widow has already been planned saying, "We have already planned her next appearance and where to take the character because we believe in it and we believe in her in a big, big way."
So what would a Black Widow stand alone movie be about? Star Scarlett Johansson seems to think the film should focus on Widow's origin rather than continuing on after the events of The Avengers stating, "I love her origin story. I think it's just such a riveting one...It's just steeped in history and the richness to shoot in Russia...I hope that the fans' voice is loud enough and they want to see a Widow origin story, I know Marvel would be happy to entertain that. We've spoken a lot about it."
Marvel has already tapped May 16th, 2014 as a release date for an as yet unnamed project. Could Black Widow be that project? Probably not. Feige revealed that plans are to only release 1 or 2 movies per year and that right now there is a big backup as far as characters getting their own films. That doesn't mean we won't be seeing Widow on the big screen again anytime soon though as Feige promises she will appear in another character's film soon. That movie won't be Iron Man 3 though, as Johansson herself previously confirmed she would not be reuniting with Robert Downey Jr in China. Perhaps a Black Widow appearance in Captain America 2?
Another breakout star from The Avengers that Black Widow most likely will have to compete with for a standalone movie is the Hulk. Despite a lackluster response from audiences on the first two films, the Hulk is one of the high points in The Avengers and as we previously reported, a standalone film is being planned for a possible 2015 release. James Cameron reveals the future of the 'Avatar' franchise, and it's bad news for Battle Angel fans.
The New York Times posted an interview with progressive filmmaker James Cameron from his trip to the Beijing International Film Festival in China last month, in which indicates his future filmmaking plans. It looks like "Avatar" sequels are forging full force ahead, and everything else is being put on the backburner.
When Cameron was asked what projects he is looking at (other than an "Avatar" sequel), he said: "I'm in the 'Avatar' business. Period. That's it. I'm making 'Avatar 2,' 'Avatar 3,' maybe 'Avatar 4,' and I'm not going to produce other people's movies for them."
That is certainly bad news for Battle Angel fans, which Cameron said a couple weeks ago he would still be interested in making, but not until the "Avatar" sequels were finished. He also said he wouldn't let another director pry it out of his "cold dead fingers," so does this mean Cameron might take Battle Angel to his grave after all?
Cameron also indicated in the interview he is currently working on the "Avatar" sequel, right now on the tool set, the production pipeline, setting up new stages in Los Angeles, setting up visual effects production in New Zealand, and of course, writing the script.

American Idol Season 8's runner up Adam Lambert has released his second studio album, 'Trespassing' and this time he's Executive Producer. Adam insisted on having full creative control of what he admits could be the decisive album of his career.
Adam was quoted, "This is a big make-or-break thing for me, especially for someone who comes off of 'Idol.'" He continued further, "So I wanted to get really involved in the process to make sure I was doing everything I could to create a great album."
'Trespassing' is a drastic change from his 2009 'For Your Entertainment' album, which was hastily recorded following his American Idol summer tour. The 30-year-old singer took more than a year to write his second album, to make sure it was just right. Adam says this album is not only more personal, but shows his maturity. 'Trespassing' features a new sound since his last album, more electro-dance-funk and emotional ballads than the previous glam-rock tracks.
Adam's summer plans include eight North American radio station concerts and six overseas shows singing for Queen. A tour for his 'Trespassing' album will likely occur toward the end of the year.
