Vacation reboot might have a director! Hey guys thaks so much for tunging into clevver movies, Im your host Tatiana carrier with the latest on vacation.
According to the Hollywood reporter, New line has entered negotiations to hand the reins of the project to John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the team behind the Vacation script, as well as the New Line hit Horrible Bosses and the studio's upcoming Horrible Bosses 2 and Burt Wonderstone.
If you guys don't know much about these helmers, their big break was quite recent with horrible bosses which grossed more than $200 million worldwide last summer.
So if your wondering what vacation will be about, the script plays like both a sequel and a reboot of the franchise that began with the 1983 Harold Ramis-directed comedy National Lampoon's Vacation and continued with European Vacation, Christmas Vacation and Vegas Vacation. A now grown-up Rusty Griswold, the son of the Chevy Chase character in the original series, experiences a misadventure with his own family....just keeping the family tradition of chaos going! actors that previously played "Rusty" include Anthony Michael Hall who played him in the original and Johnny Galecki played him in 'Christmas Vacation' and Ethan Embry played him in 'Vegas Vacation'. And random fun fact, Blake Lively's half-brother played him in 'European Vacation'... do you guys think that one of these actors should reprise their roles or if they will go for a new actor, maybe someone younger?.
