Ashley Tisdale NYC Fashion Recap
http://Facebook.com/ClevverTV - Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverTV - Follow Us! Keep watching for the fashion 411 from Ashley Tisdale's appearance in the Big Apple. Hi there, you're watching ClevverTV, and I'm your girl Dana Ward. Today we're talking about Ashley Tisdale's chic city style she sported while in New York City today. The Tis was in the Big Apple to talk about her new movie "Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure," as well as her hit show "Hellcats," and I gotta say I'm diggin' her sophisticated look! Ash donned a very modest navy blue dress and paired it with nude platforms and a maroon peacoat?because yes, it's STILL pretty chilly on the east coast. But two things really caught our eye, her gorg hair color that was styled into messy curls, and that gold statement necklace! The cascading gold sequin piece definitely added that perfect pop to the outfit. Seems like the Tiz is enjoying her time in NYC with her mom Lisa, as the two were all smiles walking side by side down the street. What do you think of Ashley's NYC style today? Comment below, and keep it at ClevverTV by going to Facebook.com/ClevverTV and clicking the Like button. I'm Dana Ward, thanks for watching the show.
Miranda Cosgrove Talks College Plans
http://Facebook.com/ClevverTV - Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverTV - Follow Us! Miranda Cosgrove's got college on her mind and it might mean the end of iCarly. We've got the deets right now. Hello everyone! Thanks for checking us out here at ClevverTV. I'm your host Dana Ward in Hollywood and we just got word via Celebuzz that Miranda Cosgrove has gotten accepted into USC -- yay -- oh and NYU too. She said QUOTE 'I would love to go to one for two years then the other for two years. I feel like they are both so great.' But keep in mind that if MC opts for the east coast, there will be less chances for her to get in-the-mix with the industry and if she decides to become a USC Trojan like yours truly, hopefully, she can still make keep her acting career in check. So we want to get your vote on the matter. Should Miranda choose NYU or USC. Post your pick below, and be sure to also follow us on Twitter -- that's @ClevverTV -- for more updates just like this one. I'm Dana Ward and we'll see you soon, bye!
President Obama Asks Justin Bieber For Help
http://Facebook.com/ClevverTV - Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverTV - Follow Us! When President Obama needs help, he calls in the big guns -- and in this case Justin Bieber was the man for the job. ClevverTV has the break-down right now. Welcome back to ClevverTV, I'm Joslyn Davis and today's top story is serious proof that this place is the Bieber nation and guys, we're just living in it. You know you're a big deal when the President of the United States calls upon you from help. According to the Today's show's website, administration officials from the White House have confirmed that Justin Bieber was contacted on behalf of the Commander in Chief. Apparently President Obama was in New York City on May 5th, when he met a 14 year old Bieber fan whose father was killed on September 11th. The Prez mentioned that he "knows Justin," and even offered to set up a meeting with the star. Bieber was contacted and committed to meeting the young lady when he returns to the East coast. Wow, so between meeting Justin Bieber and the President of the USA, this unknown girl is quite the lucky lady. And being that Justin is so chummy with Obama, we're wondering if could ever have any political ambitions? What do you think? Would you vote for Justin Bieber for president? Let us know and make sure to keep it here at ClevverTV for updates on all things Biebs by subbing our channel on YouTube. I'm Joslyn Davis in Hollywood, see you next time!

PRESENTED BY DANIELLE TOPOROFF
BROUGHT TO YOU IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE SKYELAB MUSIC GROUP http://www.skyelabmusicgroup.com
Cinematographer: Eric Brouse

D & M is an alternative pop band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that formed in 2009 when members Danny Fornasa, Miles Mueller, and Matt Klahre met at Drexel University. They began touring soon after and by the Spring of 2010 were opening for national acts such as Yoko Ono, N.E.R.D., and Kevin Rudolph. Their music is described as "Passionate songs that range from acoustic sensitivity to outbursts of rock and roll that grab your ear and stay in your brain for days to come." In 2010, the band self-released their first recording entitled "The Eyepatch EP" which was recorded at MADDragon Studios during two all-night recording sessions on a zero dollar budget. The six-song EP is currently available at all of the band's live shows, their website, and on iTunes. In support of this release, the band embarked on an ambitious 16- date Winter Tour which kicked off in Philadelphia and went through the east coast in just two and half weeks.

Just after returning they set their sights even higher and teamed up with kickstarter.com to start a fan fundraising project for a national summer tour. The "Every State of the Union Tour" was born and will bring D & M across the country on a national tour funded entirely by their fans, without the aid of a major label. This national tour will support their forthcoming EP "Delawanna" which will be released Summer 2011, and includes the music video for title track single: "Delawanna".

D & M's sound draws influences from current artists such as Damien Rice, Coldplay, and John Mayer. Danny Fornasa is the group's lead vocalist, acoustic guitar player, and main songwriter. His expansive vocal range allows the group to write dynamic songs that keep the listener enticed track after track. Miles Mueller provides the percussion and essential background vocals that make the hooks of each song even more unforgettable. Matt Klahre is the lead guitarist who returns the group's modern pop stylings to their blues roots with melodic guitar lines and searing blues solos. D & M's initial success has only encouraged them to continue working diligently to further spread their music to all audiences.

This is D & M. Listen. Enjoy. Listen again. Love.

Tune in again!!

JOEL PLASKETT
PRESENTED BY TOM MILLETT
BROUGHT TO YOU FROM THE MORGAN HOTEL in TEMPLE BAR, DUBLIN
Canada has produced some of the world's most enduring songwriters and Joel Plaskett is being hailed as one of the best.

Joel's latest release, titled "Three" (released on March 26th, 2009) ) is a masterpiece 3 disc collection featuring an eclectic blend of styles, ranging from drum-machine rock 'n' roll, to stripped-down acoustic folk, to a deep-country vibe and rollicking pop. A songwriters holy trinity -- "Three" marks another landmark in the career of this great Canadian songwriter.

"Three listens in ? and it becomes evident that Plaskett has written and recorded what could very well be the album of his career." Vancouver Sun

Since spending his teenaged years recording and touring with Halifax indie upstarts Thrush Hermit, Plaskett has been writing his own story. After releasing two critically acclaimed albums -- In Need of Medical Attention (1999) and Down at the Khyber (2001) -- independently, Joel signed to Maple Music Recordings for the release of 2003's Truthfully Truthfully, a rock tour de force with his band, The Emergency. That record scored with critics and fans alike and truly put Plaskett on the national radar once and for all. Truthfully Truthfully was nominated for a Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year and won an East Coast Music Award for Rock Recording of the Year.

During a summer break from touring in 2004, Joel responded to a longtime fan's offer of recording time at a home studio in Mesa, Arizona. The results of that journey are on Plaskett's MapleMusic effort, a solo album called La De Da. The album is "solo" in the sense that Joel plays all the instruments but it's by no means a simple acoustic project. It also isn't a permanent move away from his work with The Emergency. Rather, it's the mark of an artist at home with his instincts and his creative muse and one that's willing to follow fearlessly where those imperatives lead. La De Da attracted attention at regional and national media and the hit single "Happen Now" topped the Canadian campus music chart for months running.

Over the last three years, Joel has toured extensively both solo and with The Emergency, to sold-out clubs, theatres and headlining festivals throughout Canada, the United States and Australia, on the heels of great Canadian success with his Make A Little Noise DVD & EP (2006) and Ashtray Rock (2007). Make A Little Noise spawned an infectiously catchy hit single, "Nowhere With You," that landed Plaskett on the Top 10 at hot Adult Contemporary (AC) radio. He also garnered three 2007 East Coast Music Awards wins for "Nowhere With You," DVD for Make A Little Noise, and Songwriter of the Year. Ashtray Rock was nominated for the high profile Polaris Music Prize award, and earned Plaskett and his band all six of the 2008 "of the year" ECMAs for which he, and they, were nominated: Recording, Group Recording, Single (for "Fashionable People," another hit song), Video (also for "Fashionable People"), Rock Recording, and Songwriter. Topping that off was Joel's Juno Award nomination for Songwriter of the Year and his placement as First Place Winner in the 2008 Great American Song Contest and the Billboard World Song Contest for his single "Fashionable People" (in the Pop Category).

Joel's latest triple layered album, "Three" (release March 2009) is his most ambitious work to date and features a stellar line up of guest musicians including his father Bill Plaskett, Rose Cousins, Ana Eggie and his band, The Emergency (Chris Pennell and Dave Marsh). Received with over whelming response from media and radio programmers across the country, the lead single, "Through & Through & Through" is positioned to go straight to the top of the charts. Most recently, Joel and his latest effort, "Three" were also nominated for the prestigious 2009 Polaris Music Award chosen by national media critics and recognizes the best Canadian recordings in the last year. Without a doubt, another personal career highlight for Joel and his band was sharing the stage opening for the legendary Paul McCartney (in Halifax, Nova Scotia) performing to an audience of over 50,000 fans....and so begins another chapter for one of Canada's finest songwriters.

TIM CHAISSON & MORNING FOLD - PART II
PRESENTED BY NOEL COPEMAN
BALCONYTV TORONTO IS BROUGHT TO YOU IN ASSOCIATION WITH INDIE WEEK AND THE UNDERGROUND GARAGE
http://www.indieweek.com
http://www.undergroundgarage.ca

The first half of the bio can be found at http://www.timchaisson.com or in the description section of Tim Chaisson - Part 1 on BalconyTV!

Chaisson needn't be so humble. With Broken Hearted Beat, Petty and Springsteen would be proud to keep such company. A tour-de-force in amalgamating diverse backgrounds and genres, the album unites the finite intricacies of folk, pop, country and even the Celtic inspiration that initially spurred Chaisson on in his youth; it is a wonderfully diverse beguilingly chameleon-esque experience.

While much of the album is spawned from his own seeds of creativity as primary songwriter, Chaisson notes that renowned Canadian-bred musicians Joel Plaskett (Thrush Hermit, Joel Plaskett Emergency) and Gordie Johnson (Big Sugar) were crucial in realizing Broken Hearted Beat's wide scope and boldness.

Co-penning material as a team and utilizing Johnson's invaluable experience as a musician and producer for Broken Hearted Beat, Chaisson, Johnson and crew captured the live essence of the band at Plaskett's studio before heading down to Willie Nelson's Austin-based Pedernales Studios in order apply finishing touches.

"Gordie and I started working together a few years ago and he introduced me to Joel," Chaisson reflects. "We wrote about nine songs together almost immediately. I was a huge fan of both of them before any of this, so getting to work with them was just amazing. Joel's studio caught the grittiness while Pedernales was amazing at the finishing touches. With the piano, fiddle elements, different tones, shaping and breakdowns, I think this album is pretty broad."

Ensuring Broken Hearted Beat is all-encompassing, Chaisson proudly notes that Plaskett and Johnson also impelled him to push harder at further refining his craft, resulting in a collection of songs that are infinitely stunning both musically and lyrically.

"On this record, those guys pushed me hard, making me give 125% to my lyrics where I think I used to just settle," he laughs. "I wrote a lot about relationships. Not necessarily personally. I'm not a me-me-me songwriter. That gets old fast. I'd say I'm a storyteller, taking everyone's experiences and relating them from my perspective. They can be pretty personal but they're all about something that's affected me or I've observed. I love it when you can connect with people; when they feel like something you've written has truly hit home."

Moreover, Chaisson concludes that with the influence of his mentors, the abilities of Morning Fold and his penchant for entwining the plethora of influences a large family has bestowed up on him into a distinct sound, Broken Hearted Beat is easily his most cultivated, proficient effort to date. But, he alludes, there are still many more to come.

"My East Coast roots are elemental to making this album unique," he waxes philosophically. "I was lucky to have such a large family that introduced me to so many diverse forms of music. I think they all come out on this album. The same thing applies with the rest of the band. They have that influx of inspiration from their families and they're fantastic multi-instrumentalists. As for me, well, I've been doing this since I can remember...I'm gonna be in it for the long haul."
