Keep it here on ClevverTV for the details. Hi there, I'm Dana Ward and you're back at ClevverTV. Hope you guys are ready for an epic showing of Hairspray at the Hollywood Bowl this year! The cast has just been announced for the August show, and Nick Jonas and Corbin Bleu are in it, along with Marissa Jaret Winokur, Diana Degarmo, Drew Carey, and John Stamos! Nick Jonas will play Link Larkin, something he seems extremely excited about, writing today in a tweet, Hey everyone! I am so excited to play Link Larkin in Hairspray at the Hollywood Bowl in August. Who's gonna come? Former High School Musical star Corbin Bleu will play Seaweed in the show, with Winokur reprising her role as Tracy Turnblad, a role she won a Tony for in the best leading actress in a musical category. Diana DeGarmo will reprise the role Penny Pingleton in the show, with Drew Carey as William Turnblad. Hairspray comes to the Bowl for three performances only on August 5, 6, and 7, 2011. Hey guys, I'm Joslyn Davis at the ClevverTV studio in Hollywood with behind-the-scenes photos of Nick Jonas and his Hairspray cast mates. The Jo Bro will be playing heartthrob Link Larkin in the Hollywood Bowl production of the Broadway classic. The musical boasts a star-studded cast including John Stamos, Drew Carey, Corbin Bleu, Marisa Jaret Winokur and Harvey Fierstein. And thanks to John Stamos, we just got a sneak peek at the cast members sweating their way through rehearsals. John posted a pic of himself with Nick Jonas working on a musical number next to a piano. Stamos, who plays dance show host Corny Collins, looks to be giving helpful direction, while Nick remains focused, flexing his musical muscle. We also get to see the pair again as they look over the script -- the caption reads 'me and my slightly younger brother Nick Jonas studying for hairspray.' We can't wait to see Nick take on the role of Link Larkin, and I don't know about you guys, but it seems to us that John Stamos never ages. We're also super excited that both Marisa Jaret Winokur and Harvey Fierstein are re-creating their Tony-award-winning roles of Tracy Turnblad and her mother Edna. For those of you who will be in the LA area, the musical will run August 5th through the 7th at the Hollywood Bowl.
