This week in the TV world it's all about which TV pilots were picked up for a full season run and which TV shows got the boot. The CW made some surprising cuts, cancelling four shows -- The Secret Circle, Ringer, H8R and Remodeled. 90210, The Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl will be sticking around, and the three fan-favorite shows will be joined by new series. First up is the highly publicized is what's best described as a prequel series to HBO's Sex and the City. The new series is titled "The Carrie Diaries," and a teen version of the original, and will star Anna Sophia Robb, Chloe Bridges and Austin Butler. "Arrow" is the next show on the CW run-down, and based on the casting, you should get very excited because the talent is top notch -- starring on the show are Stephen Amell and Katie Cassidy, and the drama program is a modern take on DC Comics character Green Arrow. Up next is Cult, which will likely pull in all of the die-hard TVD fans, as Matt Davis is starring in this one. The popular actors will play a journalist blogger who learns that fans of a TV series are recreating fictional crimes in real life -- it sounds like it will be packed with intensity. Up next we're getting "Beauty and the Beast," which will be a modern take on the popular story, and star "Smallville" alum Kristen Kreuk. And lastly, we are excited to announce that the network has added a medical drama to its rundown -- the show, which is titled "First Cut," will star Mamie Gummer, who FYI is the daughter of Meryl Streep.

All in all, the five new shows that the CW is adding look pretty cool, but we'd love to hear which one in particular you're most excited about. Also let us know what show you were sad to see cancelled. You can share all of your thoughts, opinions, and emotions down in the comments section. I'm Joslyn Davis --see you next time right here on ClevverTV.

The top 3 on American Idol performed 3 songs each last night, and visited their hometowns! Hey guys, you're watching ClevverMusic. American Idol last night was filled with praise from the judges and lots of great quotes from Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler. The top 3 remaining contestants- Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet, and Phillp Phillips, each sang a song picked by the judges, a song they chose, and a song mentor Jimmy Iovine chose for them. We saw them visit hometowns and be bombarded by crazed fans, and we even saw Phillip get a little emotional over it- which we liked.

Owning the first round of Judge's choice songs was Phillip Phillips who sang Madcon's 'Beggin''. Steven Tyler said once Phillip writes his own songs, he'll be a "new age boss", as in Bruce Springsteen, which is a HUGE compliment.

Dominating the second round of performances chosen by the contestants themselves was Jessica Sanchez who made the ballsy choice of picking Aerosmith's 'I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing.' Normally Steven Tyler hates it when people sing his songs, but on this one he couldn't have been happier. Steven commented, "You just took a great song and made it greater." WOW.

In the last round of Jimmy Iovine picks, we have to hand it to Joshua Ledet, who danced around and sang Mary J. Blige's "No Drama" Steven Tyler commented that he had just felt the last 40 years of the music business... and we think that's a compliment!

Who did you think sang the best? Don't forget to tune in tonight to the results show where it will come down to the Top 2. Be sure to subscribe to ClevverMusic for more music news. See ya!

The Vampire Diaries is officially coming back for Fall 2012, but some fans are already missing the drama and its stars. Thanks to the CW for hosting its upfronts -- along with its shows stars and all -- this is where the Fall lineup gets announced, including any changes to current shows. So we know that TVD is coming back in the same exact well-loved timeslot: Thursdays at 8pm. That being said, we also got confirmation that we're not going to be getting any new episodes from Mystic Falls anytime soon. Our TV Guide friend Robyn Ross who was on-hand at the New York City event -- tweeted out that we won't be seeing the show premiere until... get yourself together... until October. So, yes, we will all have to wait until October 2012, but be sure to subscribe to ClevverTV to stay in the know about all things Vampire Diaries. Starring Bradley Cooper, Oscar®-winner Jeremy Irons, Dennis Quaid, Olivia Wilde and Zoë Saldana, the layered romantic drama The Words follows young writer Rory Jansen who finally achieves long sought after literary success after publishing the next great American novel. There's only one catch - he didn't write it. FPS - Looking for Eric - 18 June 09
British director Ken Loach, the multi-award-winning master of social realism, turns his talents to a light-hearted Mancunian comedy-drama in Looking for Eric, which co-stars the legendary French footballer Eric Cantona.

The film follows the plight of Eric Bishop (Steve Evets), a down-and-out postman desperate to reunite with his first ex-wife.

Life is not going the way he had planned. His only emotional consolation, being an avid Manchester United fan, is to talk the poster of his idol, "King Eric."

In steps Cantona, playing himself, as Eric's imaginary friend and guru, ready to kick-start his life down a more positive path.

Amanda Palmer speaks to Loach, along with Loachs long-time collaborator, writer Paul Laverty, plus Evets and, of course, Cantona, the footballer-turned-actor who tells how one real-life fan-turned-friend became the inspiration for the film.

X Factor auditions have officially kicked off, and it looks like there's already a bit of reported drama in the works... and we're talking with the judges! So to break it down, the first round of singing started in Austin, Texas and as a reminder, we have the newbies Demi Lovato and Britney Spears joining LA Reid and Simon Cowell. Right off the bat, Reid tweeted out QUOTE 'Day 1 @TheXFactorUSA and I have already been cut to shreds by @ddlovato. Let the games begin!' But it's not just the judge who thinks there are mixed opinions on the panel. Our friend Jethro at The Hollywood Reporter posted about reactions from people apparently sitting in the audience: literally the very first audition with a 14-year-old boy had the judges on totally different pages. Demi said he had a great voice and a great tone, but said that he needs to figure out what makes him stand out from other singles while Britney said QUOTE 'I think you can be bigger than the next Justin Bieber' which reportedly caused the crowd to go crazy in support! There were other reports circulated that Spears got up and left the table at one point, but we hear that it was just to take a break. Rumors and truth -- we'll just have to wait and see what goes down when The X Factor hits the tube. So keep it here at ClevverTV for all of the latest. I'm Dana Ward -- thanks for watching!
