In order to avoid a ghostly figure in the road, high school senior Brent Mitchell wraps his car around a tree, killing his father. Constantly confronted by his mother's emotional collapse after the accident, Brent escapes into a marijuana fueled world of loud metal music to block the pain and guilt. Dejected and out of sorts, he has a shot at happiness with his girlfriend Holly, a grounded, caring girl with drop dead good looks, a dream date for the high school prom. But his plans are thwarted by a disturbing series of events that take place under a mirrored disco ball, involving pink satin, glitter, syringes, nails, power drills and a secret admirer. Brent has become the prom king at a macabre, sadistic event where he is the entertainment.

Marilyn Manson Born Villain: a maggio il nuovo singolo No Reflection

Brutte notizie per i fan di Marilyn Manson che stanno fremendo in attesa che il Reverendo pubblichi finalmente del nuovo materiale inedito. A dire la verità ci sono due notizie, ma solamente una è veramente fresca. Marilyn Manson sta per pubblicare effettivamente un nuovo album e questo lo sapevamo già. Per il primo singolo, quello promozionale che farà da apripista all'album, bisognerà però attendere fino al prossimo mese di maggio 2012.La canzone che arriverà nelle radio di tutto il mondo e negli store digitali si chiamerà No Reflection e sarà la prima song estratta dalla tracklist di Born Villain, il nuovo disco di Marilyn Manson ormai completato da un pezzo. Evidentemente la scelta di ritardare così l'uscita del singolo e, quindi, dell'album deriva da motivi di mercato.
Il video che accompagnerà No Reflection nella rotazione televisiva sarà invece girato la prossima settimana e lo stesso Marilyn Manson ha anticipato che la tracklist di Born Villain vedrà una traccia fantasma registrata con un ospite molto speciale e inatteso. Di quest'ultimo, però, purtroppo non sappiamo assolutamente nulla.
Ricordiamo inoltre che Marilyn Manson ha inserito l'Italia tra le tappe del suo tour a cavallo tra la primavera e l'estate di quest'anno. Vedremo il Reverendo in azione sul palco al Gran Teatro Geox di Padova il 7 luglio e all'Arena Civica di Milano quattro giorni dopo, l'11 luglio. Sarà un'ottima occasione per ascoltare dal vivo il nuovo singolo No Refletcion e i pezzi del disco Born Villain che, forse, avrà già raggiunto gli scaffali dei negozi di dischi.

Get out those bellbottoms, for some 'Saturday Night Glee-ver', Glee is taking over the 70's! Hey guys, welcome back to ClevverMusic. The 'No Directions'...I mean 'New Directions' tackled the 70's with a disco themed episode last night, and revealed the theme for Nationals is "vintage." Mr. Shuster is concerned that a few of the club members (Finn, Mercedes, and Santana) are not planning a future after high school- so co-coach Sue suggests he assign them songs from 'Saturday Night Fever' to get them out of their slump.

We are introduced to Wade AKA 'Unique', a cross-dressing fan of Kurt and Mercedes who happens to be in rival Vocal Adrenaline, and swears he isn't a spy. Wade asks Kurt and Mercedes for advice on transforming into 'Unique' during the next Vocal Adrenaline performance, and of course Sue tries to sabotage the rival by encouraging him by giving him fabulous shoes to perform in.

The disco performances kick off with Sue and Will, to show the kids how it's done, and Sue announces the winners of a disco dance-off will win a white Travolta suits. Of course the winners are future-less Mercedes, Finn, and Santana. The three sing out their frustrations in different 70's disco jams, with Mercedes doing an intense 'Disco Inferno' rendition that ex- BF Sam puts on YouTube.

Santana performs 'If I Can't Have You' and reveals she too wants fame, but doesn't care how she gets it, so GF Brittany puts a sex tape of them online to win Santana Fame. Finn is still fighting with Rachel, and they meet in the auditorium to sing, 'How Deep Is Your Love' by the Bee Gees, and Rachel gets Emma to bombard him with college pamphlets. With Mr. Shuster's help via song, Finn realizes what he wants to do with his life. Finn reveals to Rachel, after singing 'More Than a Woman' in the choir room, that his dream is... to be an actor.

'Unique' successfully performs 'Boogie Shoes' as a woman in Vocal Adrenaline and of course kills it. Santana's future is solidified when Sue surprises her with a cheerleading scholarship to the University of Louisville. Mercedes realizes she will pursue her singing career, after Sam shows her how many fans she has on YouTube. After realizing they all have dreams, the Glee club comes together, all sporting white Travolta suits, for a 'Stayin' Alive' disco number. It seems that all these Gleeks needed was a little help.

Napoli - Enzo Avitabile presenta "Black Tarantella" (10.04.12)
http://www.pupia.tv - Napoli -- Enzo Avitabile presenta "Black Tarantella". C'è chi la vede "nera", altri "na' tarantella". Per Enzo Avitabile è invece una "Black Tarantella". Da qui il titolo dell'ultimo lavoro discografico dell'artista partenopeo, subito balzato al primo posto nella classifica di iTunes, categoria "world music", e nelle prime venti posizioni in quella "tradizionale". Classe 1955, Enzo è un sassofonista e cantautore di impronta jazz con infusi soul blues e funk che si possono apprezzare come chiave distintiva in tutti i suoi lavori: dal primo "Avitabile" del 1982 a "Napoletana" del 2009, che gli è valso la "Targa Tenco" per il miglior disco dell'anno nella categoria dialettale.
Un percorso musicale oggi culminato con "Black Tarantella", un'opera di "dialoghi" e non di semplici duetti, come ci tiene a sottolineare Avitabile, che parlano di diverse realtà del mondo che vivono disagi di ordine sociale. Dall'Africa dove compare una "Maronna", simbolo di speranza, all'Emilia Romagna, dove un "terrone" del Sud Italia muore sul lavoro, a testimonianza che da anni e anni molti figli del sud tornano a casa "in una cassa di zinco".

Tredici brani, di cui undici inediti realizzati con grandissimi artisti italiani e internazionali (da Pino Daniele, Franco Battiato, Francesco Guccini, Mauro Pagani a Bob Geldof, David Crosby del quartetto Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Enrique Morente, Toumani Diabatè, Daby Tourè, Idir), fino alla nuova generazione della musica "underground" campana (Co Sang, Raiz). Due le rivisitazioni: "Mane e mane", con Daby Tourè, e "Soul Express", con Toumani Diabatè e Mauro Pagani. Il brano che colpisce più al cuore i fan di vecchia data è sicuramente quello con Pino Daniele, "E' ancora tiempo", che segna la rinnovata fratellanza tra i due artisti.

Con le nostre videocamere siamo andati a Marianella, quartiere di 12mila abitanti a nord di Napoli, la "terra" di Enzo Avitabile, nella sede dell'associazione "Natale Ciccarelli", dove i componenti del sodalizio hanno realizzato un piccolo auditorium intitolato al loro illustre concittadino. Enzo ci ha parlato del nuovo album, della sua devozione al santo Alfonso Maria de' Liguori, nativo proprio del quartiere di Marianella, e del film documentario realizzato con il regista premio Oscar Jonathan Demme ("Il silenzio degli innocenti", "Philadelphia") dal titolo "Enzo".
