Origin: The band which follows the most traditional heavy metal line has five members, formed in the end of September of 2004, by Marcos B. Garcia, in Ribeirão Preto / SP - Brazil.

Name Origin: Its name was inspired by the nordic mythology, vampirism and by the everyday events (barriers and obstacles that are overcome at every second by everyone). Its inspiration is mixed with war and its relation to great stories, such as The Lord of The Rings and Troy, important features in the name of the band.

Musical Basis: The band VarTroY has as a core of its musical base the band Iron Maiden and, around this band, other ones inside traditional, melodic and progressive heavy metal, in addition to hard rock. Some of these bands are: Metal Church, Dream Theater, Savatage, Dr. Sin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Dave Matthews Band, Metallica, Scorpions, UFO and AC/DC. The harmony among these influences consolidates the style of VarTroY.

Musicians: The present musicians have music experience, playing in pubs, festivals, participations, etc. All of them are influenced by Iron Maiden, which is favorable to the style defined by the band, however, each musician follows a different variation of heavy metal, what makes possible the diversity related to the band. The professional attitude, fixed by each one makes possible the progressive and well directioned growth towards the goal of the band VarTroy.

Songs: The Band VarTroY is focused on working its own songs according to the defined style, songs which are being added slowly to the presentation´s set list.

En hommage à mon " Vieux ", mon Pater, mon Papa, fan de Deep Purple, DCD trop tôt... Lorsque j'ai le blues, j'écoute du "Deep", cela me fait "Planer",comme en "Transe" et j'oublie que la vie et la Société sont Merdique...Que nous n'avons pas Tous les mêmes chances de " Parvenir " à de " bons résultats "...En Hommage aussi à des Potes qui ont choisi le Suicide plutôt que la Vie...Chômage, maladie, coeur brisé etc tout ce que cette PUTE d'existence crée !!!! Mes pensées vont vers eux ce soir et souvent les nuits de Mélancolie...Mes Potos du " Village" un bled perdu dans le Lot et Garonne...Vous aviez les Couilles, Respects à Vous mes copains... Bono meets Russian President Medvedev
U2 frontman Bono has met Russia's President Dmitry Medvedev ahead of the band's first Russian gig.
Mr Medvedev, a well-known fan of classic rock, sipped tea with the Irish megastar at his summer residence near the Black Sea resort of Sochi.
He complimented the 50-year-old singer, six years his senior, for highlighting problems in Africa, such as poverty and the spread of HIV/AIDS.
The president chatted in English with Bono, whose band will play its first-ever concert in Moscow on Wednesday as part of its "360" world tour.
Bono said: "I come here to cross a great divide between me, the Led Zeppelin fan and you, the Deep Purple fan." Mr Medvedev replied: "No, no, no. I prefer Led Zeppelin too. You can relax."
In response to the Bono's humanitarian work Medvedev told the singer, "I believe that it's just great that you actively engage in all of that and at the same time that does not impede you."

Morse's arrival revitalised the band creatively, and in 96 a new album titled Purpendicular was released, showing a wide variety of musical styles. The line-up then released a new live album Live at The Olympia '96 in'97. With a revamped set list to tour, Deep Purple enjoyed success throughout the rest of the 1990s, releasing the harder-sounding Abandon in'98, and touring with renewed enthusiasm. In'99, Lord, with the help of a Dutch fan, who was also a musicologist and composer, Marco de Goeij, painstakingly recreated the Concerto for Group and Orchestra, the orig.l score having been lost. It was once again performed at the Royal Albert Hall in Sept.'99, this time with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Paul Mann. The concert also featured songs from each member's solo careers, as well as a short Deep Purple set, and the occasion was commemorated on the 2000 album Live at the Royal Albert Hall.
