This week in the TV world it's all about which TV pilots were picked up for a full season run and which TV shows got the boot. The CW made some surprising cuts, cancelling four shows -- The Secret Circle, Ringer, H8R and Remodeled. 90210, The Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl will be sticking around, and the three fan-favorite shows will be joined by new series. First up is the highly publicized is what's best described as a prequel series to HBO's Sex and the City. The new series is titled "The Carrie Diaries," and a teen version of the original, and will star Anna Sophia Robb, Chloe Bridges and Austin Butler. "Arrow" is the next show on the CW run-down, and based on the casting, you should get very excited because the talent is top notch -- starring on the show are Stephen Amell and Katie Cassidy, and the drama program is a modern take on DC Comics character Green Arrow. Up next is Cult, which will likely pull in all of the die-hard TVD fans, as Matt Davis is starring in this one. The popular actors will play a journalist blogger who learns that fans of a TV series are recreating fictional crimes in real life -- it sounds like it will be packed with intensity. Up next we're getting "Beauty and the Beast," which will be a modern take on the popular story, and star "Smallville" alum Kristen Kreuk. And lastly, we are excited to announce that the network has added a medical drama to its rundown -- the show, which is titled "First Cut," will star Mamie Gummer, who FYI is the daughter of Meryl Streep.

All in all, the five new shows that the CW is adding look pretty cool, but we'd love to hear which one in particular you're most excited about. Also let us know what show you were sad to see cancelled. You can share all of your thoughts, opinions, and emotions down in the comments section. You asked for it so we're bringing it to you! This Fanboy Faceoff is pitting two of the biggest comic book franchises ever against one another - The Avengers vs. The X-Men!

The Avengers are breaking box office records across the globe, but they weren't the first superhero team to grace the silver screen. Way back in 2000, the long awaited X-Men film hit theaters and was an instant hit among fans and critics alike. Lead by Wolverine, the first X-Men film brought in $294 million worldwide and spawned two sequels, a spinoff and a prequel. The box office total for all the X-Men films is $1.5 billion and $1.9 billion if you include X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The franchise continues to grow stronger with sequels to X-Men: First Class and Wolverine coming in the next couple years.

The new kids on the block as far as movies go, The Avengers has quickly become one of the most successful franchises of all time. The seeds for the superhero ensemble were started back in 2008 with Iron Man. The five films leading up to The Avengers grossed a whopping $2.3 billion worldwide with The Avengers becoming one of only eleven films ever to cross the billion dollar mark in only 19 days.

The Avengers and X-Men both debuted in September 1963 and evolved as a response to the popularity of DC Comics' Justice League of America. The two powerhouses are currently facing off in a limited comic book crossover but which team do you think would prevail in an onscreen battle of these behemoths? Compared to the X-Men, the Avengers big screen team is pretty small, consisting of only four main heroes along with S.H.I.E.L.D. members Hawkeye, Black Widow and to a lesser extent Nick Fury. Though small, the team does consist of a demigod, a super soldier, the powerful Iron Man and of course they have a Hulk. Quite possibly one of the most powerful superheroes of all time.

The X-Men are no slouches though, with a roster that includes the mighty Wolverine whose adamantium skeleton and highly resilient body could definitely give Hulk a run for his money. Other members include Storm, who like Thor, has the power to manipulate the weather, Cyclops, whose optic blast could be a devastating foe against Iron Man's repulsor rays and Rogue, who has the ability to absorb the powers of others. Other members include the powerful Jean Grey, Beast, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Iceman, Kitty Pryde, Angel and of course Professor Xavier, the leader of the X-Men, just to name a few.

So do you think the overwhelming number and powers of the X-Men have what it takes to bring The Avengers to their knees? If so, which Avenger from the comics not seen in the film do you think could help turn the tide? Let us know in the comments or tweet us @ClevverMovies with the hashtag #CMFF. The ultimate winner of this superpowered faceoff is completely up to you, so be sure to let your voice be heard. I'm Tatiana Carrier, thanks for tuning in!

The Wolverine to start shooting in august, details coming your way!

Hugh Jackman has revealed on Twitter that The Wolverine is back on, and begins shooting in late summer. This is great news considering we were beginging to think the film wasn't happening any time sooN!

When a fan asked Jackman when he would reprise his role as Wolverine, Jackman exclaimed "Starts shooting in August!!!," which makes sense, as the film has to meet a July 26, 2013 release date.

As we have previously reported, filming for The Wolverine will take place in Australia, while location shooting will still take place in Japan, as had been originally planned.

We also previously reported that Fox CEO Tom Rothman stated that the film will take place in Japan, and that "A great number of Japanese actors will be in it and it's based on the very famous run of the comics..."

As you guys already know Darren Aronofsky has been replaced by director James Mangold known for Knight and Day, Walk the Line....with a script by Christopher McQuarrie and Mark Bomback.

So what do you guys think about this news of wolverine starting in august? Let us know by commenting below and be sure to keep it locked right here on clevver movies, your number one source for movie news!

Andrew Garfeild wants to be in the avengers sequel, details coming your way!

Andrew Garfeild who you guys know will be palying spuiderman in marc webbs adaptation of spider man, sat down with vulture and spoke spidey and where he would like to see his character go in the future...

He first spoke about how when he said the avengers he was BLOWN AWAY! And even disclosed he would be seeing it AGAIN joking he has no problem contributing to the billions the film has already made.

He went on to admit he was kinda jealous he wasn't in the film...he said, "Joss Whedon is a genius, and it's an incredible cast. I was very, very jealous, and I wanted to jump on the screen and play with them. It killed me that I wasn't in it, but I understand why, and I'm not insulted."

But he did joke that he would LOVE to be in the sequel...he said, "if Samuel L. Jackson wants to give me a shout, I'm there for the next one!"...Despite Spider-Man being a member of The Avengers in the comics, Sony owns the rights to Spider-Man on film, so unfortunately the chances of that happening are highly unlikely, but stranger things have happened! What do you guys think? Do you think spidey will EVER share the big screen with the avengers? Good news all you Iron Man fans! Jon Favreau will in fact be returning to Iron Man 3! The bad news? He won't be directing. Listen up:

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jon Favreau closed a deal to reprise his role as Happy Hogan, Tony Stark's bodyguard & sidekick in Iron Man 3 which just started shooting this month in North Carolina.

Shane Black of "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" fame takes over as director. Many think Favreau's continued involvement shows a sign of solidarity to the franchise and to Marvel as well as an endorsement of Black's directing.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle are also returning to the threequel starring Robert Downey Jr. A slew of new faces are also hopping aboard the Marvel Train. Rebecca Hall, Guy Pearce and Ben Kingsley have already joined the roster and now reports are that Ashley Hamilton and William Sadler will also be joining the cast.

Latino Review revealed Sadler's casting, but not word yet on what his role will actually be. According to Variety, Ashley Hamilton, son of actor George Hamilton, will take on the role of the Marvel villain Firepower. Firepower is an experimental suit powered by Jack Taggert. In the comics, he is enlisted by Mandarin and Zeke Stane (Obadiah Stane's son) to destroy Tony Stark. For those who don't remember, Obadiah Stane was played by Jeff Bridges in the first film and unsuccessfully tried to destroy Tony Stark.

In addition to Firepower, it was previously announced that James Badge Dale was joining the cast to take on the role of Erik Savin, better known as the cyborg Coldblood in the Marvel comics. It's not confirmed if either of these characters will take on their villainous roles, but with Ben Kingsley rumored to be playing Mandarin and Guy Pearce rumored to play yet another villain, the third installment of Iron Man could be in danger of villain overkill. The plot is reported to follow that of the Extremis storyline involving the spread of a nanotech virus so the roles of Coldblood and Firepower could be altered from the characters that appear in the comics.

'Thor 2' Eyeing Mads Mikkelsen For Villian Role and we have the scoop!

Thor may have found himself another adversary to battle besides Loki in the upcoming Thor sequel. Who will it be? Clevver Movies fills you in.

According to Variety, Madds Mikkelsen is joining the cast to play a super villain. It hasn't been confirmed which villain he will play.

Mikkelsen is a Danish actor who has appeared in various films including Clash of the Titans. He previously gained attention as Bond's enemy in 2006's Casino Royale. His Danish heritage could be a clue as to which villain he could possibly play. Rumor has it he could play Malekith The Accursed, ruler of The Dark Elves of Svartalfheim. In the comics, he makes an alliance with Loki to battle Thor.

Speaking of Loki, Tom Hiddleston is reprising his role in the sequel, which makes the Malekith theory that much more plausible.

Do you have your theories as to who Mikkelsen could play? Share your ideas in the comments below. Keep it here at Clevver Movies. I'm Tatiana Carrier and I'll see you next time.
