Percy Jackson and the Olympians is finally here.  Weve got the movie preview right now.   Clevver TV is back and Im Dana Ward with another movie preview.   After much hype around the upcoming Percy Jackson and the Olympians, we can start counting down until its February 12th release date. Until then, of course we have the official action-packed trailer for The Lightning Thief. Now in case you've been stuck in mythological times, this movie is about a somewhat troubled teen who suddenly discovers he's half-human half-god, as he is the son of Greek God of the Sea, Poseidon. He embarks on an adventure with other gods - fighting mythological characters from stories along the way - to get back a stolen weapon that without it, an epic war would result.   Based on the popular book, the film's director Chris Columbus spoke out that one of the most difficult pieces to make fit into the movie had to do with the character's ages. According to Columbus, the book had kid characters speaking like young adults, so for the actual Percy Jackson and the Olympians movie, he decided to make the students 17 years-old. That reportedly resulted in more action-packed scenes instead of the sometimes "cute and silly" happenings in the book. Plus, the director says we get to see more developed characters and relationships on the silverscreen. The issue with this book-to-film production is that Percy Jackson and the Olympians IN PRINT has such a big fan following. Percy Jackson Sequel deets coming up on Clevver movies! Hey there, Im Tatiana Diana for CLevver Movies with the latest on "The Sea of Monsters." Percy Jackson and the Olympians made quite the splash back in 2010 earning 137 million worldwide, and now we learn that Fox is in development to create a sequel to the flick entitled, "The Sea of Monsters." The film adaptation from the five book series written by Rick Reerdan will be a fantasy adventure where we will join Percy and his group of friends as they head to the Sea of Monsters to find the mythical Golden Fleece...AT the Golden Fleece they hope to free a friend who has been captured there. "The Sea of Monsters" be directed by Thor Freudenthall with Chris Columbus, who directed the first installment, as producer. The flick is set to release sometime in 2012. It was announced last year that a sequel to Percy Jackson & The Olympians would be hitting theaters on March 26th, 2013 and now the Hollywood reporter has reveaed that Nathan Fillion, star of ABC's Castle and the cult favorite Firefly and its big screen film Serenity has joined on to star as Hermes in Fox 2000's sequel Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Sea of Monster. The flick is based on the second book in Rick Riordan's best-selling young-adult book series. Fillion will be taking on the role of "Hermes", a role played by Dylan Neal in the original film.

We are pretty stoked about this second outing for percy Jackson considering the first title in the franchise, Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief, grossed $226.5 million at the worldwide box office in 2010. Chris Columbus, who directed Lightning Thief, is producing the Percy Jackson sequel with Karen Rosenfelt.
