L'attore torna protagonista del nuovo film di Tim Burton "Dark Shadows", attesissimo dai fan del duo cinematografico e basato sull'omonima soap anni '60, famosa negli Stati Uniti ma praticamente sconosciuta in Italia, che narra le avventure imprevedibili del vampiro Barnabas Collins con fantasmi, lupi mannari, streghe e altre creature mostruose, che un po' ricordando la simpatica e gotica famiglia Addams. L'attore si mette a testa in giù come un pipistrello, esce da una bara, va in cerca di sangue e si lascia sedurre dalle belle donne ma come in ogni favola dark del regista c'è l'elemento divertente e inquietante che lo rende unico, quel tocco di cattiveria e allo stesso tempo di commedia con una storia di vendetta, gelosia e ossessioni raccontata con cinismo e ironia. Depp è un vampiro fuori dal tempo catapultato in nuovo mondo in cui è un pesce fuor d'acqua, circondato da attrici famose come Eva Green, Helena Bonham Carter, Chloe Moretz e Michelle Pfeiffer che lo manderanno completamente in tilt.

In the year 1752, Joshua and Naomi Collins, with young son Barnabas, set sail from Liverpool, England to start a new life in America. But even an ocean was not enough to escape the mysterious curse that has plagued their family. Two decades pass and Barnabas (Johnny Depp) has the world at his feet-or at least the town of Collinsport, Maine. The master of Collinwood Manor, Barnabas is rich, powerful and an inveterate playboy...until he makes the grave mistake of breaking the heart of Angelique Bouchard (Eva Green). A witch, in every sense of the word, Angelique dooms him to a fate worse than death: turning him into a vampire, and then burying him alive.

Two centuries later, Barnabas is inadvertently freed from his tomb and emerges into the very changed world of 1972. He returns to Collinwood Manor to find that his once-grand estate has fallen into ruin. The dysfunctional remnants of the Collins family have fared little better, each harboring their own dark secrets. Matriarch Elizabeth Collins Stoddard (Michelle Pfeiffer) has called upon live-in psychiatrist, Dr. Julia Hoffman (Helena Bonham Carter), to help with her family troubles.

Also residing in the manor is Elizabeth's ne'er-do-well brother, Roger Collins, (Jonny Lee Miller); her rebellious teenage daughter Carolyn Stoddard (Chloe Moretz); and Roger's precocious 10-year-old son, David Collins (Gulliver McGrath). The mystery extends beyond the family, to caretaker Willie Loomis, played by Jackie Earle Haley, and David's new nanny, Victoria Winters, played by Bella Heathcote.

Harry Potter meets Hugo in an upcoming film and ClevverTV has the report. HP franchise alum Rupert Grint has just signed on to star alongside one of our other favorites here on the show, Chloe Moretz in a biopic about Beach Boys drummer Brian Wilson, titled "The Drummer." Chloe will play the iconic drummer's daughter in the flick while Rupert Grint will play Stan Shapiro, who started out as an intern at a big Hollywood agency before becoming a close friend to Brian Wilson. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the movie will commence shooting in June. This will mark Rupert Grint biggest film following his role as Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films, and Chloe is still riding high following her movie "Hugo's" multiple Oscar wins. Chloe MOretz may be our next carrie and we have the details!

Casting is underway on director Kimberly Peirce's remake/adaptation of Stephen King's breakthrough novel Carrie, and the two top candidates are reportedly 15-year-old Chloë Moretz and 24-year-old Haley Bennett according to vulture.

Other candidates include young up-and-comers like Dakota Fanning, Emily Browning, Bella Heathcote and Lily Collins... who have all read for Peirce. WE are hearing that Chloe is the front runner...so chances are, its chloes part to take.

As for Carries mother--- Peirce has approached Jodie Foster and is interested in Julianne Moore. It's not so strange to aim for past Oscar winners for a horror flick: After all, both Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie (who played her mom) got nominated for the film.
