A Lady Gaga tweet that's got critics everywhere buzzing! Hey guys, welcome back to ClevverMusic. Now here's the deal. On Tuesday night, Lady Gaga tweeted the following: "Just killed back to back spin classes. Eating a salad dreaming of a cheeseburger #PopSingersDontEat" - essentially sharing with fans how intense her regimen is to get her body performance ready for her upcoming worldwide Born this Way Ball tour.
For some, the hashtag could have be interpreted as a playful joke, as most non-trending hashtags these days are. However... many others, including the National Eating Disorder Association, found that the tweet was sending the wrong message to Lady Gaga's more than 20-million Twitter followers. In response to Gaga's tweet, The National Eating Disorder Association wrote "Huh? This is the same person who recently implored girls to stop dieting?"
Lady Gaga has been open about her own eating disorder experiences, her struggle with bulimia in high school, and has used her high profile to encourage girls to have a healthy body image.
Oh, Twitter controversy.
Now...This is what I noticed little monsters- she said "eating salad" in the tweet! OBVIOUSLY she's not really NOT eating, right? That's just my observation, but what do you guys think? Was Gaga promoting eating disorders, or.. was Mother Monster just sending a playful hashtag? Mother Monster ignores her latest Twitter backlash! Hey guys, welcome back to ClevverMusic. Lady Gaga's highly-criticized tweet where she added #PopStarsDontEat hashtag remains unaddressed by the fit pop star. Some fans interpreted the hashtag as encouraging fans to avoid eating, in order to become thin.
Gaga continues to tweet about preparing for her upcoming 'Born This Way Ball' global tour, which launches April 27 in South Korea. She didn't tweet about eating a salad and wishing it was a cheeseburger like last time, but continues to be expressive about the intense workouts she is putting her body through in order to be prepared for her tour. She tweeted a message about her muscles hurting and shared a stunning photo, where she doesn't look tired to us. The tweet read, "Off to rehearsal! Running the show, my muscles hurt today. #NoPainNoGlory" We're sure she'll be in tip top shape when she hits the road later this month!
