I'm Dana Ward in Beverly Hills and we've got some fabulous GG news. It seems that Miss Hilary Duff will join the ranks on the oh-so-popular, Gossip Girl. According to reports, the singer-slash-actress will take-on a multi-episode arc as the character of Olivia Burke. This newbie can definitely rival the richie-rich lifestyle rocked by the solid cast, as Olivia is a movie star who's attending NYU as a freshman to experience a quote-unquote 'normal college life'. Duff's character will apparently be roomies with Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) and might even have some hot scenes with Dan, played by Penn Badgley, who doesn't even recognize that Oliva is a the celeb. As far as real-life Hilary goes, she's a self-described fan of the show, naming Chuck as her all-time favorite character. This 3rd season of Gossip Girl premieres September 14th... And sorry guys, but you'll just have to WAIT to get a glance at Duff in her new role, as she doesn't enter the scene until Episode 4. Here's the Q: Do you like Hilary as a Gossip Girl addition or is she just not in the popular group? What I'm wondering about - and kinda expecting a little bit - is a little singing duel between Hilary and newer-to-the-music-world Leighton Meester and Taylor Momsen. What do you think? Before we wrap it up, we gotta add that Joanna Garcia - you know her from Reba as well as from Privileged - is also signed on for 4 episodes of GG. She'll be playing Bree Buckley, a southern belle with a bit of conservative, beauty queen ways that wind up charming Chace Crawford aka Nate. Twilight Saga Recasting - Who else could be Edward Cullen?
http://Twitter.com/ClevverTV - Follow Us! I know it's insane, but pretend Robert Pattinson passed on the role of Edward, who would you pick for the Twilight Saga character? Hi guys! I'm Dana Ward at the ClevverTV headquarters with a special re-casting series. Like I said, it might sound crazy, but we're just having a bit of fun and thinking outside of the box to re-cast the character of Edward Cullen. I mean, I don't think anyone can imagine the Twilight series without Robert Pattinson. But WHAT IF he passed on the project? Who would take his place? Let's break it down. The most obvious option was actually one reportedly chosen by book author, Stephanie Meyer. Early on, before RP got cast, Meyer had said "the Perfect Edward" would be Henry Cavill, and that he was the only actor she'd ever seen who could pull off the character of Edward Cullen. He's already played in period pieces, like The Tutors, so he can give off that almost regal feel from when Edward was raised and of course, Henry is one handsome guy. But apparently he had grown up so much by the time the film production started that Cavill said he never heard from anyone on the Twilight crew. Cavill suspects that the 3 or so years he has on Pattinson put him out of the game. Another actor that some online fans have imagined to play the vampire is Tyson Ritter. He's the lead singer for The All-American rejects, but he's only one year younger than Cavill and he has no acting experience. Looking good for a role can only take you so far though, right? And one year younger - getting a bit closer to the KEY age - is Chace Crawford. He's been compared to Robert in casual everyday style with the sunglasses and hair, but what do you think about Chace as Edward? Online there's actually a poll between the two for the vampire role - of course, RP wins with 78-percent of the vote. Another actor who's been mention in fan sites is Gaspard Ulliel. He's a working French actor who's been named in the Top 50 Hottest Young Actors by The Movie Fanatic. He's definitely got that European look with longer hair and unique styling - um, he's been on the cover of French Vogue, and obviously, with his resume, he's got acting chops. Do you guys think he could play Monsieur Edward? Some other honorable mentions include Hunter Parrish from Weeds, Zac Efron, Johnny Depp as a youth and even a revived Heath Ledger. The Texas native headed to Vegas for the big awards show, where he wore a dressy, yet casual look that consisted of a matching suit jacket and slim-fit pant, partnered with a very casual shirt. This guy can do no wrong and we were particularly intrigued by Chase's slicked hair style and scruffy facial hair. But what did you guys think of this look? According to New York Magazine's Vulture, Gossip Girl actor Chase Crawford nominated himself for an Emmy. The nominating ballots came out not to long ago, and the actor has apparently thrown himself into the consideration ring for Lead actor in a Drama. Being that Gossip Girl has a large ensemble cast, some critics note that Chase may have been a better fit in the category of Supporting actor. C-C's male co-stars and Blake Lively declined to submit themselves for nominations at all. I don't know about you all, but I had no idea that actors were allowed the opportunity to actually nominate themselves, but apparently even acting veteran Rob Lowe nominated himself for his gig on Parks and Recreation. Chace Crawford was looking quite dapper at the 2012 Met Gala red carpet. It's no surprise since this is the much talked about "event" of the year at the Metropolitan Museum. It's the Costume Gala where Hollywood's best dressed arrive in their most couture and stylish pieces. Bringing it back to Chace, he took on a black suit, tie, pocketsquare and smirk -- the last accessory is the only one not provided by designer Kenneth Cole. The Jonas Brothers walked the red carpet in style as a group. Nick took on some sheen on his pants while Kevin kept it more matte in Black Fleece by Brooks Brothers and then Joe went for all out sheen in his head to toe Calvin Klein tuxedo. Glee's Darren Criss fit right in with the stylish crowd. He too went for a bowtie and tuxedo -- and the fabric of the suit was uniquely cool yet still classic. Nice work for this star. Even NFL player Tim Tebow was on hand for the night of fashion and Hollywood glamour. He told Vogue that he is just blessed to be there -- while rocking a very classic black tuxedo by Ralph Lauren Purple Label. So those are some of our favorite looks from the night at the Met.
