Fall in Love Every Day - Rafe - Original Song
Fall in Love Every Day G C5 Her soft brown hair Her Golden eyes I fall in love, She passes by She passes by We're trapped within The shields we make What's strangers love We dare to take We dare to take D C G Wish that I knew what to say I fall in love every day C G D The world is a path, Everyone passes by If I could I would stop Every girl and say hi What is it that you're hoping To do with your life Or tonight Rings on her face And wildly dressed A pink Tattoo Across her chest Across her chest So many types Some kinda fright To find the one That's' kinda right That's kinda right Here's an interview my friend Adam did with me a little while ago: Rafe: I hail from Toronto Ontario. I play a lot of shows and hopefully I will pursue music over the next period of time. Adam: Who are some of your biggest influences? Rafe: I have a lot of influences. I was always very into the old school guys like The Doors, Neil Young and Dylan were my favourites. Lately though, I've been really interested in some of the new guys. I love Panic! At the disco, (or panic at the disco as they recently changed their name) fall out boy, Rocket Summer, Something Corporate, Mute Math, Regina Spektor is one of my favourites. I found this other girl on her myspace, Jenny Owens Young who I'm really into. I love Tragically Hip but I wouldn't say I sound anything like them. Adam: Who would you say you sound like? Rafe: Well, I tell people, stylistically I sound like a mix between Green Day and Billy Joel. Obviously that's not really true, it just gets people interested. I get "Something Corporate" a lot and also rocket summer. Sometimes people say I sound like Barenaked Ladies mostly because I sing really fast at some points, like in "Love in a Little Grey Box". I also am heavily influenced by John Mayer and Jason Mraz. Adam: Any songs your listening to a lot of these days? Rafe: Ya, I really like "Love Song" by Sara Bareilles. That songs a blatant hit. Also, "Say" by John Mayer I love. Oh yeah, I was never a death cab for cutie fan but...
Otaku Magic 16 - The I-gin Decks
Been meaning to get around to this team for a while now, but it just didn't feel right till now. Also, it only appears on one card so here's the text for Aerial.

Aerial (This creature can only be damaged by creatures with flying or reach)

And yes, that is meant to prevent all noncreature damage. Only creatures that interact with the sky can touch The Great Otto Lilienthal! As always, comment and enjoy!

I do not own Magic the Gathering or Read or Die, and all images belong to their owners. Songs are: Caramelldanson - Caramell, We Didn't Start the Fire - Billy Joel, It's the End of the World as we Know It - REM.

I'm Bridget Daly for ClevverMusic with your weekly installment of What's Up With Gaga. This week, numerous videos of hers hit the web, we found out she may be Freddie Mercury's replacement, and new details drop on the Born This Way Ball DVD. Let's get started. The week kicked off with Gaga's Lady is a Tramp video that debuted with Tony Bennett. Here's a snippet if you missed it. Gaga also helped Sting (roll footage over)celebrate his 60th bday in NYC by sharing the stage with him for a rendition of King of Pain. celebs like Mary J Blige, Billy Joel, will.i.am, and Stevie Wonder were all also in attendance. And the other video that surfaced this week was the F-bomb riddled directors cut of her latest fashion film. Potty mouth! We also got wind this week that Gaga may be getting her very own Lifetime movie. A casting notice leaked looking for someone to play Gaga between the ages of 16 and 22. Move over Tracy Gold! In bizarro news, we hear Gaga may be replacing Freddie Mercury as the new lead singer of Queen! Brian May said in an interview that they love Gaga's stage presence, and the fact that she writes her own music. And finally, the Born this Way Ball is coming to DVD! A remix album and her book with Terry Richardson also comes out that day, November 21st. And that is the world according to Gaga! Make sure to subscribe to ClevverMusic to always stay posted on Mother Monster news, and go ahead and comment below on which of these stories you liked best. Thanks for tuning in, and I hope you all have a great weekend! See ya!

Lee Anna James Delivers The Hard Truth

Im not working off of gimmicks, Im working off of real life, Lee Anna James says about her debut EP, The Hard Truth a sentiment that helps define what makes it one of the most refreshing releases of the year.

This Nashville singer/songwriter has built a loyal fan base with her intimate lyrics and soulful live performances, and with songs like Every Little Lie, Different Color, and the title track, The Hard Truth is driven by an authenticity not found in many new artists.

With this batch of songs I was trying to build a foundation on being honest and organic, so that its timeless music, she says. With my favorite artists Tom Petty, Sheryl Crow, Bonnie Raitt its not about their branding, its about their music, their character, and standing the test of time. So what I try to do is relate to my audience the way I want artists to speak to me, just being real.

Backed by talent old and new, The Hard Truth also features a number of top Nashville musicians, including Kyle Cook (guitarist for Matchbox Twenty), Black Crowes drummer Steve Gorman, and Dave Santos (touring bassist for John Fogerty, Billy Joel), as well as keyboardist Jon Coleman, and multi-instrumentalist and co-writer Mike Fiorentino.

I have this mind-blowing band supporting me, and theyve added so much color to the lyrics, she says. I was in awe of being around these amazing players, and seeing people at the top of their game helping bring my music to life. It was a real collective effort, and Ive never been so inspired by the process of making music.

As Lee Annas fans will assure you, the album is only half the story¬, and shes excited about spending the rest of 2009 touring in support of The Hard Truth. Her passion for her work thrives on stage, with Lee Annas warm presence and connection with her audience complimenting the honesty of the songwriting.

I try to be in touch with the crowd, and my live experience is like youre hanging out with me and my friends at home, she says. Weve had such a great response to these songs already, and the support I get from fans is whats really reinforced everything I do.

I think with The Hard Truth and this tour were creating music that connects with audiences on a more personal level. I feel we could go anywhere from here Ive never been better, the band has never been better, and were on our way to connecting with even more people, and growing as artists.

American Idol: Elise Testone Elimination

Season 11's soulful rocker goes home during 'Queen' week, in an unsurprising results show. Hey guys, welcome back to ClevverMusic. Elise Testone was eliminated from American Idol last night, in the least surprising results show of the season. Not unsurprising because she isn't talented, but Elise has been plagued by the 'bottom 3' week after week. Joining raspy singer Elise in the 'bottom 3' was Skylar Laine, and Hollie Cavanagh.

It's safe to say Elise is one the most talented and unique gals in the competition, with her smoky, husky voice and edgy rock n' roll vibe. We think Elise was often in Bottomville due to her poor song choices and the fact that Idol is at the core, a pop show, and she is a rocker. Elise was likely unable to connect with the show's younger demographic especially with Wednesday night's performance of Jimi Hendrix's "Bold as Love."

Elise was known in the competition show for her raspy renditions of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" and Billy Joel's "Vienna," but this week's song choices were not enough to catapult her into the Top 5.

Katy Perry graced the Idol stage last night with her revenge hit, 'Part of Me,' performed military-style in sync with the music video's military theme. Katy donned her purple hair that she first debuted at Coachella.

What did you think of A.I.'s results show? Did the right person go home? Let us know what you think, down in the comments. See you next time guys!
