Une usine à rêves dirigée par Ray Ruby, impresario éminemment charismatique, assisté par ses vieux compères et une bande de personnages pittoresques. Malheureusement, tout ne va pas pour le mieux au Paradise : les danseuses menacent Ray d'une grève, qui doit également affronter la colère de la propriétaire des lieux bien décidée à les expulser.
