The search to fill The Wolverine director's seat has been narrowed down- we've got the top picks Next.. Welcome to Clevver Movies, I'm Andrea Feczko. Ever since Darren Aronofsky left as director of "Wolverine", Fox has been searching for the right person to tackle the highly anticipated sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Now Fox has narrowed it down to eight, yes, eight directors. There's still a lot of competition. So, the top contenders are: Fast Five's Justin Lin, Bourne Identity's Doug Liman, Training Day's Antoine Fuqua, Pride & Glory's Gavin O'Connor, Girl, Interrupted's James Mangold, Jose Padilha, Mark Romanek, and commercials director Gary Shore. All the directors except Romanek and Shore have directed action movies so it really is anyone's game! Fox is reportedly in no rush to decide, even though Wolverine set to hit theaters next year. Your watching clevver movies, and Im your host, Taitana Carrier. Weve just learned via Deadline, that Dreamworks has walked away from Southpaw, a boxing film helmed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Eminem, written by Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter. It's unknown why Dreamworks walked away from the film, especially with all the successes of other boxing and MMA films as of recent. However, the script, director, and star remain bundled together, so who knows what studio will approach the flick next. Eminem was attached to star as the welterweight boxer who fights his way to the top, only to see his world come crashing down due to a major tragedy...sound a bit like 8 mile? Well Sutter shared that he was inspired by Ems real life struggles hence the story line, and the star. Hey guys, Tatiana carrier here for clevver movies and ive got the latest on Eminmens SOUTHPAW! AS you guys know,Southpaw, the gritty boxing drama that stars rapper turned actor Eminem was put on hold due to no longer being distributed by dreeamworks, but its now BACK ON TRACK as Sony has picked up the project! The story of a left-handed boxer, written by Eminem and Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter, will be directed by Antoine Fuqua who you may know from Training Day. The movie, tells the story of a welterweight boxer who, despite being left-handed, becomes a champion, but then tragedy strikes. He has to make a comeback in his life and in the ring. Written by Eminem, the story hits close to home with his own struggles and rise to the top Ems last big screen appearance was in 8 mile, which actually told a silimar story, but instead of a boxer, a rappers journey is documented. '24' Movie Postponed

The clock has stopped ticking for the 24 movie. We all were pretty excited with the news of the popular 24 tv series coming to the big screen, but now it appears things have been postponed for the thriller.

According to Deadline, 20th Century Fox isn't going forward with the film this year. The flick was scheduled to get started in late march, but that doesn't seem to be happening anymore.

Kiefer Sutherland will play Jack Bauer and director ? Antoine Fuqua is being eyed to helm.

So why the haiatus? Well, there are rumors that it all came down to budget...as is the case with most movie hiatuses...also we hear that Sutherland is not happy about this delay...he was looking forward to resuming his role as the government operative, and now its being put on hold which is obviously annoying.

When it does happen, the flick is expected to be a 3 picture trilogy.
