Catania (TMNews) - Via i pesciolini dalla dieta di Montalbano. La lettera dell Unione Europea con cui il commissario per la Pesca, Maria Damanaki, ha vietato allo scrittore Andrea Camilleri di non fare mangiare più novellame di pesce al suo personaggio, non è stata gradita dai fan siciliani del commissario di Vigata. A Catania, nello storico mercato della pescheria, il giovane Montalbano che mangia il pesce nella sua terrazza è un modello di sicilianità: "Vedendo Montalbano che è a 100 metri dal mare, eh signori miei è una buona realtà per la Sicilia".In Sicilia, il novellame di pesce, formato da alici, sarde e triglie è chiamato "neonato". La pesca è proibita dal giugno del 2010, ma in molti protestano: "Perché non si dovrebbe mangiare, una volta l'anno, quando c è è buono". "Certo perché no, se una cosa piace perché deve essere vietata".Non tutti però la pensano allo stesso modo: "Ha ragione l Unione Europea perché è sbagliato prendere il neonato, c è un periodo, un mese l anno in cui si potrebbe prendere e altri no perché rovina il mare, secondo me non si dovrebbe prendere direttamente". "Montalbano sta dando un segnale sbagliato, ma d altra parte è buono quindi anche lui ha le sue ragioni per mangiarselo". Il segreto del successo televisivo di Montalbano è anche dovuto alla sua sicilianità verace e al suo amore per le tradizioni.
