You won't find the God forsaken village Danish Mørke on any map. Journalist Jacob (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) is pursuing his brother-in-law Anker to Mørke because Jacob's sister Julie, who had just married Anker, commited suicide on her wedding night. Julie was in a wheelchair.
When Jacob finds Anker, he is about to re-marry another woman in a wheelchair. Was Julie's suicide murder? This suspenseful psychological thriller reveals the frighteningly evil underbelly of small town life. " It's no coincidence that " mørke" is also the Danish word for "darkness".
