If you were one of the lucky ones to get tickets to iheartradio this September, you're realllly psyched right about now, because Jay-Z has just been added to the lineup! The news broke this week that the rapper would be joining the impressive list of performers set for the 2-day event in Vegas. To recap, Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Alicia Keys, Steven Tyler, the Black Eyed Peas, Kenny Chesney, Jennifer Lopez, Carrie Underwood, Nicki Minaj, John Mayer, David Guetta, Rascal Flatts, Bruno Mars, Kelly Clarkson, Usher and Sting are some of the bigger names attached to what's being called the biggest music event ever. As you know, the event was created to celebrate the launch of the New iHeartRadio, Clear Channel's digital radio product. Thanks to The Hollywood Reporter, we hear that Ryan Seacrest is on board to host the 2-day festival at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and the lineup so far includes Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj, John Mayer, David Guetta, Carrie Underwood, Sublime, Rascal Flatts, Sting, Steven Tyler and a whole lot more popular artists. The iHeartRadio Music Festival definitely has you covered, I mean the list is already insane, and even more musicians will be added to September 23rd and 24th shows throughout the summer. Will.i.am is busy prepping his forthcoming solo album called #willpower, and he's managed to lineup a pretty impressive roster of talent for it! will spoke with Capitol FM and revealed he's teamed up with Britney Spears in the studio on a track, as well as working with his own artists on his label LMFAO.
He added more info saying, "I have a song with Alicia Keys -- me, Alicia and Swedish House Mafia. "I have a song with me and Busta Rhymes and Swizz Beatz. I got a whole other bunch of collaborations."
One of those is reportedly Nicole Scherzinger. Wow. Talk about a lot of talent on one album! We're majorly looking forward to hearing this?especially the Britney track. Jay Z makes it to Carnegie Hall
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)

STORY: After over 20 years of practice, rapper Jay -Z (Shawn Carter) has finally made his way to New York's Carnegie Hall.

The 42-year-old, will headline two historic shows on February 6 and 7 to raise money for United Way of New York and the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation. Money earned will go towards the fight against poverty in New York, which has the largest income gap in the U.S., and help under privileged students graduate on time and attend college.

Jay-Z called on several of his a-list friends to help him out including model Brooklyn Decker and icon Liza Minnelli, who holds a special place in Carnegie's history books.

"I played here the longest of anybody, I played Carnegie Hall for two and a half weeks and sold out completely. So to come back here to see my friends is so exciting for me," said Minnelli.

Model Brooklyn Decker will host the star studded after-party at Jay Z's nightclub, 40/40. On the red carpet, Decker said the issue of poverty is close to her heart.

"My husband actually has a foundation that does something very similar and it raises money for children education mostly in Texas and Florida. And so when they asked me to come and host tonight for United Way I was very quick to do so. I am a fan of Jay Z and I am a fan of his cause, so it felt right," Decker told Reuters.

Hitting the stage with Jay Z on the first night was Alicia Keys and Nas.

Both David Guetta and Deadmau5 will participate in a really cool electronica tribute at Sunday's show. They'll take the stage with just announced Chris Brown, Lil Wayne and the Foo Fighters! The acts will all participate in the quote "special performance highlighting dance/electronica music." All five artists are nominated for Grammy Awards this year. Also announced this morning: Tony Bennett and Carrie Underwood, who will take the stage for a duet, as well as an Etta James tribute, which will be led by Bonnie Raitt and Alicia Keys.
