PRESENTED BY CHERYL

The Motorleague is:
Nathan JonesDon LevandierRyan McDonaldShawn Chiasson
The Motorleague play fast and riffy, pelvic rock and roll that is catchy as sin but won't leave you feeling guilty for liking it.
Their appeal lies in songwriting that is chemically addictive and a spits out product drenched in sarcasm. -- Simply put -- the anthem to every bad break-up, asshole boss, or shit job you've ever had.
The Motorleague's debut full length was recorded with veteran producer Ian Blurton at Toronto's Chemical Sound Studios. It was released on May 19th, 2009 by the Forward Music Group, and recently picked up 2 East Coast Music Awards for best Loud Recording and Fan's Choice Video."Black Noise" is 10 relentless tracks of fury driven rock that was heralded by critics as a welcome return to form for rock music.Since the release of the record, the band has been touring hard with dates all over The Atlantic Provinces, Quebec and Ontario. The band made stops at ECMA, North by North East, COCA, and played shows with names like Bad Religion, Alexisonfire, Comeback Kid, The Real McKenzies and Grady.
The Motorleague have recently recorded their follow up to Black Noise with producer Steve Rizun (Flatliners, Protest The Hero, Creepshow) so that it is ready for a 2011 release.

MARS AND VENUS -

Mars & Venus are five best friends hailing from the frosty city of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada playing an eclectic mix of rock, alternative and post-punk music.
Only three months after forming and just two days after releasing their EP entitled, "Stray Bullets Make Brave Hearts," Mars and Venus ventured south of the border... and south of that border, on a five week headlining tour spanning the US and Mexico. Their 3rd show EVER was in Tijuana, Mexico, some 3000kms from their hometown!
Among a couple of the press appearances in Mexico, the band was shown on a local Coatzacoalcos, Mexico TV station for two nights of performances and interviews, featured in the daily newspaper and advertised for the local annual festival off the Gulf of Mexico. Emisora4 Radio in Saltillo, Mexico featured the band on air and radio and news interviews took place in many other Mexican cities as the buzz of a Canadian rock band touring the country took over.
Somehow through the insanity of 24hr+ driving stretches and violent salmonella poisoning, Mars & Venus was able to craft a voice all their own; a unique style influenced from bands such as; Thrice, U2, Strung Out, Moneen, Alexisonfire and Avenged Sevenfold. Their commitment to their music is evident and is gaining them a strong and steadily growing fan base all over the world.
Strengthened by a fresh line up which includes new drummer Jordan Tworek and former drummer-turned-guitarist Nathan Lafrance, Mars & Venus is poised to turn some heads and take the world by storm. Their mix of sweeping melodies, soaring vocals, and intense energy proves they are a group committed to moving people through their music.
Mars & Venus' first independently released full length album "Faded Maps and Winding Ways," which features the single "Shades of White," hit the airwaves across the continent in February. The band is currently on a North American tour to promote the new album.
Notable Achievements:
-Numerous press appearances on the first Major Tour.
-Sold out shows in Edmonton, AB of over 400 people and have played shows to near 1000 people.
-Been added to and taken part in numerous festivals around the continent.
-Near 40,000 profile views and 35,000 plays on Myspace in less than 2 years.
-Over 900 fans on Facebook following the band daily from around the world.
-Winner of the Rockstar 101 competition by Oddball Productions.
-Independently released Ep and full length album, as well as a new music video for the first single "Shades of White."
-Nominated for an Edmonton Music Award.
-"Shades of White" selected for the "Shred or Alive" competition on Ourstage.com

PRESENTED BY NOEL COPEMAN

An Amos The Transparent show can include multiple part a cappella harmonies, handclaps, all out guitar rock and raucous fan sing-a-longs...and that's the beauty of them.

The lush arrangements and subtle textures on their debut album "Everything I've Forgotten To Forget" and newest EP "My, What Big Teeth You Have...", can be easily be stripped down acoustically or turned up to ten in a live setting.

The Ottawa-based band has quickly become darlings on the Canadian scene racking up accolades from media outlets like XM Radio's The Verge and Billboard Magazine. Amos The Transparent have also scored key slots in major festivals like Canadian Music Week, SXSW, Ottawa Bluesfest, Halifax Pop Explosion, NXNE and Brisbane Australia's BIGSOUND as well as supported bands such as Tokyo Police Club, Besnard Lakes, The Dears, Hollerado and Jeff Beck.

2009/2010 has been a breakthrough year for the band seeing them win financial support from local radio station Live 88.5 FM and being named a finalist for Artist of the Year in XM Radio's Verge Music Awards alongside notable Canadian artists Joel Plaskett, Alexisonfire and Dan Mangan. "My What Big Teeth You Have..." was added to over 200 US College radio stations, was licenced to 12 network television shows and was recently featured on MTV's The Real World.

Founded by songwriter Jonathan Chandler and Chris Wilson, the band includes long standing members Mark Hyne, James Nicol and Dan Hay.

Always full of surprises, once you have witnessed Amos The Transparent live, it is not hard to understand why their shows are now becoming legendary.

Amos The Transparent: winning over the world one audience at a time.

CITY AND COLOUR - interview with Dallas Green

Audio & Video production by Joe Lynch

PRESENTED BY BARBARA RAPPAPORT

City and Colour was the solo acoustic project of Dallas Green, best known as the singer/guitarist for the Canadian post-hardcore band Alexisonfire. Born September 29, 1980, in St. Catharines, Ontario, Green served as a member of Helicon Blue before co-founding Alexisonfire in late 2001. Despite scant radio airplay, the band developed a strong fan following on the strength of their ferocious live shows, and their 2004 sophomore LP, Watch Out!, debuted in the Canadian Top Ten. At year's end Green issued the first City and Colour EP, The Death of Me, selling copies at his earliest solo shows. The full-length Sometimes followed in late 2005. Green supported the album with a Canadian tour and a sold-out string of gigs in the UK the same year. Sometimes was certified Platinum in 2006 and won a Juno in 2007 for Alternative Album of the Year. In March 2007, City and Colour released City and Colour Live. The following year saw the release of Bring Me Your Love, Green's second solo album, which featured appearances from Gordon Downie of the Tragically Hip and Romano and Spencer Burton of Attack in Black.
