I'm Dana Ward and we're breaking down all of the nominations for the 2010 Oscars. Even with the Academy doubling the Best Picture nods - apparently in an attempt to catch a younger viewing audience - most of the included films fall into the expected category. Avatar, An Education, The Hurt Locker, The Blind Side, Inglorious Basterds, Precious, A Serious Man, Up, Up in the Air and District 9. Five of those movies got Best Director nominations for James Cameron, Kathryn Bigelow, Quentin Tarantino, Lee Daniels and Jason Reitman. In the Best Leading Actor category, Jeff Bridges, George Clooney, Colin Firth, Morgan Freeman and Jeremy Renner with Best Leading Actress going to Sandra Bullock, Hellen Mirren, Carey Mulligan, Gabourey Sidibe and Meryl Streep. The Animated Feature Film nominations include Coraline, Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Princess and the Frog, The Secret of Kells and Up. Best Cinematography had a nod for Harry Potter in there, Star Trek got a Best Makeup nomination and Sherlock Holmes got included in the Music - Original Score breakdown. This year's hosts include funny guys Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin, so it's expected to be quite the performance for the show March 7th on ABC. In the number 3 positions is the unforgiving Miranda Priestly from "The devil wears prada." Meryl Strep took the PRADA for being a relentless biatch, and I liked it. In a close race with number 1, is Office Space's Bill Lumbergh played by Gary Cole. I think this one goes without explanation. And last but CERTAINLY not least, my pick for the ULTIMATE MOST HORRIBLE BOSS EVER goes toooo..... BUDDY ACKERMAN from Swimming with Sharks played by Kevin Spacey. Welcome back to ClevverTV. Hey guys, I'm Joslyn Davis in the ClevverTV headquarters with huge casting news for Diego Boneta. The actor, who wowed us with his performances on both 90210 and Pretty Little Liars, is making a very big jump to the big screen, as he's just landed the lead role in the film adaptation of "Rock of Ages." Diego will star in the highly anticipated picture with Julianne Hough, as well Hollywood icons Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Mary J. Blige, Amy Adams, and even Russel Brand is rumored to be attached to this project. As you can imagine, this is very big opportunity for Diego who will play Drew, a busboy in a Hollywood club called the Bourbon Room. He falls fast for a girl named Sherri, who will be played by DWTS alum Julianne Hough. After working together, Sheri will encourage Drew to follow his own dreams. We should also add that Adam Shankman, the genius behind Fox's hit show Glee, is heading up this project, which quite frankly, just makes us that more excited. Looks like the Rock of Ages trailer has people dancing in their cubicles! It's unfortunate, but people like to hate on musicals, but really, at the end of the day, everyone secretly loves them. And with such a star studded cast, I know Rock of Ages will find it's way onto our favorite's list. . For those of you not in the know, this movie is actually a big screen adaptation of the hit broadway show of the same name. The story takes us back to 1987 when Rock and Roll ruled the radio. It's centered around two individuals who fall in love as they meet trying to make their Hollywood dreams come true and a popular club in which Alec Baldwin owns and Catherine Zeta Jones is trying to shut down! And who's the main start bringing all the attention in? Well that's Stacey Jax played by none other than Tom Cruise. And guess what, he really pulls off the rock star persona. . If the classic covers don't bring in an audience, I'm sure all the familiar faces you see in the trailer alone will! Paul Giamotti and Mary J Blige make an appearance, along with Russel Brand who seems like he was made for this kind of role. . In the end it's going to be a fun up beat musical with amazing music.
