Wonder Woman Adrianne Palicki Joins 'G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes'

Whats up movie buffs, Im Tatiana Diana and ive got a GI Joe: Cobra Strikes casting couch update! According to deadline, Adrianne Palicki from Friday Night Lights will play the femaleblead in Paramounts GI Joe Seqeul, "GI Joe Cobra strikes!" Palicki, who recently played another comic-book character "Wonder Woman" in the failed NBC pilot, will play Lady Jaye alongside a pretty kick ass cast. Channing Tatum is returning as Duke and Dwayne "the rock" Johnson who just signed on to play the role of Roadblock to name just 2. No confirmation yet, but Ray Park is expected to reprise his role as snake eyes. We also recently reported the addition of RZA to the cast roster, which we are all very excited about! As you can probably tell from all the casting couch updates, they are casting quickly because they want the film ready by next summer now that the Star Trek sequel won't be ready in time! Harry Potter and his Potter crew are set to kick it with Larry King... not only do potter fans get a full hour with the potter posse, but never before seen footage will air including a special guided tour of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter! The special is set to air July 10th at 8 and 11pm eastern time on CNN. Transformers Dark of the Moon opened worldwide, and the numbers are record breaking earning the title of the biggest opening day of 2011. The third installment of the franchise is on its way to taking a global cume of $350 million in its first 7 days! Hey everyone, thanks for coming back to Clevver Movies, Im Tatiana Diana and Ive got the latest casting couch update for GI Joe: Cobra Strikes! GI Joe: Cobra strikes directed by Jon M Chu has found a new villain to add to the cast roster and that villain will be Ray Stevenson who you may know from Thor! Stevenson will appear opposite Channing Tatum and Dwayne Johnson in the film, which is being produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, and follows G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, a hit in 2009. AS we reported previously in casting couch news, others to join the GI Joe 2 cast include RZA, Adrianne Palicki and DJ Cotrrona. Until GI Joe: Cobra Strikes releases, you can catch Stevenson in Summits, "The Three Muskateers" as Porthos which releases October 21st of this year! As weve recently reported Johnson is set to play ROADBLOCK and we wanted to give you a look at the fella! G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation began production today, and we got a peak at roadblock in the flesh thanks to Johnson tweeting this image! It looks MIGHTY hot to be wearing such heavy gi joe gear, doesn't it? Roadblock is a fan-favorite member of the Joe squad famous for his cooking, his rhyming skills and hjis use of aggressive weaponry for large and small combat situations. And we think Jon M Chu picked the perfect guy to fill this MEATY role! Others to star in the flick are mostly newcomers like RZA, D.J. Cotrona, Adrianne Palicki, and Ray Stevenson.
