Blige supports for Adele ahead of Grammys
Nominated for six Grammy Awards - all eyes will be on Adele come the music industry's most prestigious award show on Sunday (February 12) night.

But it's not just the critics who think her talent should continue to be recognised - her contempories do too:

Speaking at a private Pre-Grammy party to help raise to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa - Mary J Blige made clear her feelings about Adele.

SOUNDBITE: Singer Mary J. Blige saying (English):

"I am just a big fan, I know that Adele was going through some changes, with her vocal and all that. But, I have been a fan since day one, before she got sick. I just appreciate real artists that love what they do."

Despite ducking out of the limelight while being treated with a polyp on her vocal cord, Adele clearly has not been forgotten.

Busy working on a new duet - Brandy and Monica - also support her:

SOUNDBITE: Singer Brandy saying (English):

"I definitely think that Adele should take home a few Grammys this year. She's amazing. I love her. She is inspired so many people, and she's a true artist. Real music. Real passion. Soul.''

SOUNDBITE: Singer Monica saying (English):

"When it comes to the singing Adele takes over your soul when she sings and that's something you always fought for, real music and people really connecting with the voice and the people. And I think what she represents is amazing. And it helps us.''

Sentiments echoed by rapper MC Lyte.

SOUNDBITE: Singer MC Lyte saying (English):

"I am excited to see Adele, she has been the talk of the town, from the nitty-gritty underground clubs to the posh establishments, like she has really made a killing impressing people and I really want to see her performance."

Will she or won't she clean up? The wait is almost over.

Hi guys, happy Grammy weekend! I'm your host Bridget Daly for ClevverMusic breaking down the Grammy nominees in the most major of categories, and who WE think will be taking home the wins on Sunday. Let's start with Record of the Year-Adele for Rolling in the Deep, Bon Iver for Holocene, Bruno Mars for Grenade, Mumford and Sons for The Cave and Katy Perry for Firework. Our pick? Adele for Rolling In the Deep.
The Album of the Year nominees are Adele for 21, Foo Fighters for Wasting Light, Lady Gaga for Born This Way, Bruno Mars for Doo Wops and Hooligans, and Rihanna for Loud. This one's tough, but we think it's definitely between Adele and Lady Gaga. We'd say Adele has a slight edge here though.
For Song of the Year we have All of the Lights off My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, The Cave from Sigh No More, Grenade from Doo Wops and Hooligans, Holocene from Bon Iver, and Rolling In The Deep off 21. Again we pick....Rolling in The Deep.
Best New Artist should be a fun category? The Band Perry, Bon Iver, J.Cole, Nicki Minaj and Skrillex are all competing, and we think this one is going to Nicki?she was the female pick on so many artist collaborations last year, and really there's no one like her!
And finally, rounding out the major categories is Best Pop Vocal Album. Here are the nominees- Adele 21, Cee Lo Green The Lady Killer, Lady Gaga Born This Way, Bruno Mars Doo Wops and Hooligans, and Rihanna Loud. Since it's more specifically pop we have to hand this to Lady Gaga.
So who are your pick for each of these categories? Comment down below and let us know, and make sure to stick with ClevverMusic this Sunday for breaking up to the minute Grammy coverage as it happens right here on our channel. See ya

Adele Says She Is Not Taking A Five Year Break
Adele fans can breathe again! She says she is not taking a five year break after all!
Even though she sent all of us into a panic with her quote to Vogue magazine, she's taking it back now. In the March issue of the mag, she says that she was looking forward to taking five years off from music: ?If I am constantly working, my relationships fail?
Maybe the media and fan's desperation triggered her to change her mind, or maybe she was just not feelin' it he day of the interview? Either way, she re

Hi everyone, welcome back to ClevverMusic, I'm your host Bridget Daly. Adele sure knows how to make headlines! She flipped the bird to the crowd at last night's BRIT awards during her Album of the Year acceptance speech. (Clip) Well, that certainly gets the message across we suppose! After leaving the stage, Adele spoke up about the obscene gesture, saying quote, "I'm sorry if I offended anyone but it was the suits that offended me. Thank you all very much and thanks to my fans. I don't want them to think I was swearing at them."
And it doesn't seem like the songbird is in any sort of trouble with the ITV Network peeps who aired last night's event, as THEY issued an apology to her! Their statement reads: "We regret this happened and we send deepest apologies to Adele that her big moment was cut short tonight due to the live show over-running."
All in all, though, a stellar night for Adele, picking up not only the Album of the Year award, but Best British solo artist as well. What do you all think of Adele flipping the bird on camera? Was she justified, or should she have toned it down for live TV? Hi everyone, I'm Bridget Daly and you're watching ClevverMusic. Does Adele's album 21 give you guys the a case of the sads? It's a little too depressing for Rihanna that's for sure! She recently spoke out about the Brit superstar, gushing about how much she loves her, but had to stop listening to her album. Rihanna said quote, "The last album '21? just spoke to me so much ? to the point where I had to stop listening to it 'cause it was depressing me so much. You become so attached to the stories, it's really something you identify with."
Rihanna went on to say she only made an appearance at the BRIT awards because she knew Adele would be there. Rih added, "It was nothing about the awards or the performance, for me it was just to see Adele again. She doesn't know the depth of my affection, just the surface. She has no idea."
Sounds like a new love affair! Maybe these two should be together after all the heartache they've both been though! What do you guys think of the album 21? Is it too depressing for you to listen to as well? Leave your comments below! And Subscribe to ClevverMusic for more news every day right here on our channel. Thanks for watching.

Not only did Justin Bieber get slimed over the weekend when he accepted his Kids Choice Award, but the star also took home a win for the Juno Awards. He got selected as the Fan Choice for the big-time Canadian music show, and in a pre-taped segment, JB said QUOTE 'as we all know, I have the best fans in the world... this is for you.' In fact, his fellow Canadian Carly Rae Jepsen presented the trophy to which Justin tweeted out that he was so happy to have her make the announcement -- and then he again posted that the award is for the fans, saying it's as much theirs as much as his and THANK YOU TO THE GREATEST FANS EVER. So Justin grabbed up Fan Choice and some other wins went to Michael Buble for Album of the Year, Adele for International Album of the Year, Drake picked up Rap Recording of the Year with other victories going to Simple Plan, Melanie Fiona, Feist and The Sheepdogs. Let us know why you think Justin Bieber fans made the Fan Choice Award happen for the artist by posting below, and for more stories just like this one, remember to subscribe to our show. New Adele Song on Bond Soundtrack?

Are we getting NEW music from Adele?! Hey guys, welcome back to Clevver Music! Whether she was Rollin the Deep, calling out to Someone Like You, or Setting Fire to the Rain, we've been hearing Adele songs everywhere since the release of her album, 21...and we still can't get enough! Lucky for us Adele fans, the British songstress has revealed that a new song will likely be coming out around the end of the year!

So does new song mean new album? Not exactly. Adele says she doesn't expect to have a follow up to the super successful album, 21, for a few years, because creating an album is a process and she needs to take time and "live a little bit". As Adele puts it, "If I didn't write my own songs, I'd be out next week with a new album."

OK so, as for why there might be a new song but no new album?! Well, there's been talk that Adele would be the perfect choice for the next James Bond theme song, and this news could further the speculation, as the latest 007 installment, SkyFall, is due in theaters in November.

Alright guys, what do you think about this latest Adele news? Are you excited for the new single, and are you hoping it's the Bond theme song? Leave your comments below, and don't forget to subscribe to ClevverMusic. I'll see you next time!
